Lego Dimensions 2: Tandem Trouble is an upcoming Lego-themed action-adventure toys-to-life video game developed by Traveler's Tales and published by Warner Bros. It is the sequel to LEGO Dimensions and will hit stores in North America on October 7, 2020.
More than 60 packs launched for Dimensions across the game's two years of life, spread across 10 waves.
The grand total comes to $334.85. And that's without tax.
To start the content update, return to the LEGO® Dimensions main menu screen (you may need to exit your game if one is active). Once you are there you will receive a prompt indicating that a content update is available.
Lord Vortech is the overarching antagonist of the Lego universe, serving as the main antagonist of the 2015 video game Lego Dimensions. He is a tyrannical sorcerer who seeks to unite all the dimensions into one.
Open the rift to bring in an aircraft to blast Vortech. With Vortech encased in a ball of ice, activate the Elemental Keystone and put the active character into Fire Element mode. Aim a stream of fire at Vortech to melt his ice ball.
The main cost of this game is in the branding and tech bundle - bearing in mind that this is a diversification for Lego so they'd be looking to recoup the costs for R&D and Design.
Fortunately, Lego has now confirmed that, yes, the minifigs can be removed from their bases: meaning that you'll be able to use them both in the interactive video game, and also as regular Lego.
Edit, Have just checked and the game was discontinued back in Oct 2017. The game and any figures you purchase still work, but you can no longer purchase from the store. Hence why saying its currently unavailable.

Gameplay. Lego Dimensions features the same style of gameplay as the previous Lego video games developed by Traveller's Tales, in which up to two players control Lego minifigures based on various represented franchises.
On Monday, January 30, 2012, precisely at midnight, the Lego Universe servers shut down, and the game is no longer available to play. A newly titled 'Lego Minifigures Online' MMORPG was released on June 29, 2015 as a successor game until its closure on September 30, 2016.

LEGO Dimensions has a Portal adventure that you can pick up separately at retail. With that said, it's important to note that the Portal content in LEGO Dimensions isn't part of the series' official canon. A Valve rep said that the content is inspired by Portal, but not part of canon.
You do need the toy pad, since a lot of puzzles are based on physically moving the characters around on it. But if you're not interested in the figures, you can just buy the bases from an independent site like Bricklink.
