A YOUNG hiker plunged 60 feet to her death from the top of a waterfall in front of her boyfriend - who told an inquest he "couldn't grab her in time". Hannah Lowe, 29, lost her footing at the top of Kinder Scout, a mountain in the Peak District on Easter Monday this year, a coroner heard.
Can you see Snowdon from Kinder Scout? On a clear day it is possible to see all the way over to Snowdonia from Kinder Scout, a distance of around 90.0mi. Although technically it's possible to see Mount Snowdon itself, you would need very keen eyes to make out the hazy peak in the distance.
The borough occupies an upland area between the densely populated metropolitan areas of Greater Manchester (west) and South Yorkshire (east). You'll pass Lord's Seat at 550 m (1,804 ft), the highest point on Rushup Edge. After descending Lord's Seat you have the option of climbing up to Mam Tor but this route turns north to Cold Side before returning to Edale.
