Elite enemies in WoW have a golden dragon image around their potrait. An elite pet is not any more powerful than a non-elite pet once it has been tamed, but in the wild an elite enemy is significantly tougher -- so taming one can be a special challenge. More details on elite enemies in general can be found at WoW Wiki.
To tame a hippogryph, all one has to do is drop 3-7 rabbit feet near it, and it will eat the treats and begin to tame by itself; however, if a hippogryph is found flying in the air, it is recommended to practice patience and keep track of the hippogryph until it lands. Once the beast is tamed, it will sit down.
You must unlock the ability to tame mechanical pets before you can tame them. Goblin and Gnome hunters have this ability by default. If your character is not a Goblin or Gnome, obtain a Mecha-Bond Imprint Matrix to learn the ability. This item is crafted by engineers.
The Blood Beast family of Hunter pets have the Tenacity specialization. They were first introduced in patch 8.1 of Battle for Azeroth. You must acquire a Blood-Soaked Tome of Dark Whispers to learn how to tame Blood Beasts, which is a drop from Normal, Heroic, or Mythic Zul in Uldir.

Literally doesn't matter. No sarcasm. While it's true that all pets' damage has been equalized, they do differ slightly on utility, especially for beast mastery hunters. Core Hounds are the best solo content pet, as they have a damage reduction and a good ability.
The core mechanics of Hunter pets remain unchanged in Shadowlands. Each family is still a set specialization.
Get him down to around 20% and he'll summon Faultline. Dodge the fire from the chimaera and avoid the white swirls on the ground so you don't get pinned before dismissing pets. Once he summons Faultline you can just Aspect of the Turtle and tame.
Chimaera. The Chimaera receives my highest recommendation as a top all-around pet for Beast Mastery PvP. For one, it has what I'd consider to be thee best pet special of any pet. Chimaeras possess an ability called Froststorm Breath, which not only deals ranged damage, but also slows its target by 50% for 5 seconds.
Thundering White Cloud SerpentNormally these cloud serpents are friendly, but you can make them unfriendly by being in Warmode and using the N'lyeth, Sliver of N'Zoth toy. Then it's just a matter of walking up and taming one of them! You'll find them near the flight master at Mistfall Village.
Once Hati appears as you like him, YOU HAVE TO TAME HIM! That means you need an empty hunter pet slot. Dismiss your pet if you have one out. Target him and use Tame Beast like you would to tame any creature, with no fighting necessary.
