Compared to most of the rest of India prices in Goa are relatively expensive, but compared to nearly anywhere else this place is a bargain. Still, hotels in Goa are cheap and fairly good standard for a beach resort area.
Inexpensive Traveling
(That's more than two complete rounds of the big cities in India like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore.) But trust me, it's damn cheaper than these expensive cities. GOA has pleasant weather at all times of the year. The best time to visit Goa is between November and March when the Goa weather is beautifully balmy & clear with a cool sea breeze blowing through.

The least you should plan for is 3 days: 1 day each for North Goa & South Goa, and one day for shopping and relaxing on a beach. If you have more time, keep 2 days for North Goa, 2 days for South Goa, and 1 day for shopping/beach. That's sufficient on all accounts.

Goa holiday makers usually head to one of the five main resorts of Anjuna, Calangute Beach, Baga Beach, Colva or Palolem and we can't see their popularity fading in 2020 - in fact it's likely to increase with more and more cheap flights available! Goa is as famous for its rave culture as it is for its beaches.
Baga and Calangute are the most popular and most busy places to stay in Goa with a huge array of nightlife, hotels, restaurants and close to the famous Saturday night market. Candolim and Sinquerim further on also have a lot to offer but are more upmarket.

Travel With Children. Goa is the most family-friendly state in India. Goa excels as a holiday destination on many fronts: its short travel distances, wide range of foods, reliable climate, and range of activities for kids…even away from the beach.
North goa is best place to stay. Calangute and baga is preferable for family. Most happening place. In goa there are many veg restaurants too.
What many do not realise is that Goa has many many beaches and it's good to plan in advance if you are travelling with your family. Though it's not my favourite, Baga beach is perhaps the most popular with Indian families. Except during off-season months, the entire stretch is lined with shacks and food places.
