Lelouch might just be carrying it around as a memory of Nunnally, as he won't be able to meet her ever again. At the end of the series Lelouch sacrificed himself and brought peace to the world but by dying permanently he would have never been able to fulfill his promise that he made to her.
Lelouch is a character what you would call an “Anti-Hero”. Similar to Light Yagami from Death Note, Lelouch lacks the qualities that would basically make him a noble “heroic” protagonist such as morality and ethics. In fact, Lelouch is often considered more of a villain by many people from the anime community.
Ichiro Okouchi essentially confirmed that Lelouch was dead in a 2008 interview. Things seemed to be pretty squarely wrapped away with Lelouch being dead (or “dead,” we're not going to get into the fan debate here) and his sister Nunnally working to maintain the peace established through Lelouch's death.
In the eyes of the world which did not support the 11s, she practically lured many of them to the stadium as a trap to have them killed here. Euphemia was cast a much different light than that which her public person had been and was. Zero, as the hero of the 11s, saw this as an opportunity. Zero, shot Euphemia.
Hence, Lelouch was far more intelligent, because though he may have not known everything, since he was more clever in finding out what to know. Light was narrow sighted and intelligent in detective work. Hence I believe that Lelouch is more intelligent, followed by a close second by Light.
Lelouch commanded Suzaku with his Geass to "Live." Therefore whenever in danger Suzaku will always strive to survive with the best of his abilities. So no, the Geass doesn't grant him immortality, he is just doomed to live out the rest of his natural life without shortcuts.
It was also confirmed that protagonist Lelouch, once debated to have perished at the end of “Code Geass R2″, is alive and will return on “Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch” (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection).
So to answer your question about C.C.: In the original series, she's alive and mourning Lelouch's death, but she comforts herself knowing that Lelouch has died to achieve his goals, the Zero Requiem. This can be seen in the remade epilogue from 2009.
Lelouch has 3 love interests: Kallen, Shirley, and C.C. These are my thoughts about them: Kallen - He is attracted to her before she likes him, which is a first.
Kallen recounts their history, then asks Lelouch what he intends to gain by becoming Emperor, as well as what she means to him. Lelouch remains silent, so she kisses him to show her feelings.
Most people hate Suzaku Kururugi for number of reasons. He kept on interfering in Zero's plan in order to show loyalty to the Britannia. He kept Lelouch away from His beloved Sister Nunally. He is a coward who can't chose his own path.

I think that his IQ falls somewhere between 160-180. That said, I'd think Lelouch's would be very high, and since this is an anime that doesn't bother itself too much with realism, I'd say his IQ could even be over 180, up to 200.
There's no way Lelouch could defeat Goku in a physical conflict. There is no way that a scrawny teenage designed by CLAMP could stand up to the might of Goku's muscles. But Lelouch could defeat Goku without ever laying a finger on him.
4 Letting Lelouch DieSuzaku, in the end, went on to serve Lelouch. He was assigned his personal Knight and put his life on the line for Lelouch. Finally, when the entire world was at peace.
Suzaku has very mixed feeling for Lelouch. He also sees Lelouch as his best friend but he disagrees with Lelouch's methods. He had suspected Lelouch was Zero before their confrontation but chose to trust his friend, thus he was more disappointed than surprised when he finally discovered the truth of Zero's identity.
bomb, fired unwillingly by Suzaku (compelled by Lelouch's Geass command "to live") when his life was in danger. When Lelouch converses with Charles and Marianne in episode 21, it is revealed that Nunnally's injuries were orchestrated by V.V., who set her up to be a false witness to the murder of her mother.
A similar case is how Kakashi Sensei is pronounced Kaka-sensei where the "shi" is very fast and quiet. Also: CC= two Cs. C2= two Cs. CC is canon because it represents the shape of her butt.
After he was exiled, he used the alias, Lelouch Lamperouge (?????·??????, Rurūshu Ranperūji). He was the Eleventh Prince of the Holy Britannian Empire and the son of the 98th Emperor of Britannia, Charles zi Britannia. He was also the leader and founder of The Black Knights and the real identity of Zero.
C.C. says she abandoned him because he was not able to fulfill his part of their contract. Mao's Geass made him an outcast, so C.C., being the only person whose mind he could not read, kept him company.
The reason why Lelouch still has his Geass is because he didn't take the Code from the same person who gave him his Geass: he took his Geass from CC, and he took his Code from Charles. Thus, he now possesses both immortality and a Geass.
At some point there is another new scene of Shirley trying to chase Lelouch and running into the Black Knights for a bit. Shirley was not killed by Rolo and remains alive. This also means Lelouch's motivation for attacking the Geass Order isn't revenge for Shirley.
I talked about this with some friends and we kinda agreed on the point that a "zero" is a "nothing", a nobody. So Lelouch naming himself Zero has the reason that everyone could be this Zero. I think they used this Idea as well, when they got Exiled from Japan/Area 11. Everyone could be "the" Zero.
So CC's plan was for Lelouch to be the one to has Geass that would reach the next stage and allow him to take her code. We see this done with both VV and the nun in the CC's flashbacks.
They are not in love with each other, at least not romantically. The official guidebook says that Lelouch saw C.C. as an equal to himself and never sought for her to be his lover. C.C. grows to be happy to be accepted by Lelouch for who she is and not under anyone or anything's power.
"Akito the Exiled" is an intermission between the two seasons of the main show. The second part? The canon is that Lelouch is dead the end of R2, period. Yes, Akito the Exiled is in the same world as Code Geass, happens in Europe, chronologically between the two seasons of the main show.
V.V. (real name: Victor zi Britannia) is one of the two secondary antagonists of the anime series Code Geass (alongside Marianne vi Britannia). He is Charles zi Britannia's older twin brother and the one who granted him his Geass.
Yep he can use one time on each person (except with the canceler) He can't use it on C.C. because geass doesn't work on immortals. Once you have a code, you're immune [spoiler/] which is why Lelouch was unable to use it on Charles and therefore used it on the god's of the world of C to kill Charles instead.
