Nintendo has confirmed that the final character being released for the Volume 2 Pass will be the final DLC content for Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. This was confirmed at the Nintendo Direct 2021 event, and players will be able to find out who is the final DLC character to be released in October 2021.
According to reports, director Masahiro Sakurai confirmed in his recent Famitsu column that Tekken character Kazuya Mishima will be the second to the last Ultimate DLC character. One more character, who is unknown at this point, will be released following Kazuya and Challenger Pack #2 will be completed.
Since Min Min's release, Masahiro Sakurai has been adamant that the implementation of this final character will not only be the end for the Fighters Pass Vol. 2, but it will also conclude DLC — including additional fighters — for Super Smash Bros.
Crash Bandicoot (クラッシュãƒãƒ³ãƒ‡ã‚£ã‚¯ãƒ¼ãƒˆ, KurasshubandikÅ«to) is a newcomer in Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch. He is one of the "Sony" representatives added to the game, other than Ratchet & Clank, and Spyro. He is voiced by Jess Harnell in all versions of the game.
Nintendo has said before that it only wants video game characters in Smash, meaning Disney's stars have no hope of being in the game. Even if Nintendo has tried to get Sora into Smash, it's entirely possible that Disney doesn't want Sora in Smash and has prevented a deal with Nintendo somehow.
The only reason he wasn't added as an echo is simple: ignorance. And thus an oppurtunity to have a hype last addition to the roster was missed due to ignorance of the developer and disconnect with the IPs he's using.
Metal Sonic (メタルソニック, Metarusonikku) is a playable newcomer in Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo Switch, hailing from the ever-growing Sonic The Hedgehog series. Metal Sonic wasn't announced before the game's release date, being a hidden unlockable until people discovered what his requirements were.
Eggman is an unlockable character and one of the Sonic representatives in Super Smash Bros.
To unlock Shadow in Smash Ultimate, you have to beat Classic Mode with Sonic in Super Smash Brothers Melee, and then Stop N' Swop your Melee disc with the Smash Ultimate cartridge, and you'll be challenged to a fight to unlock Shadow the Hedgehog.
Knuckles is a playable newcomer in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch. Being one of the most requested characters for the series, he was added to the roster, and it was his inclusion where Sakurai and team decided to create a big roster for the game.
Porky is currently the only boss in the Super Smash Bros. series to lack a spirit in Ultimate; however, the Absolutely Safe Capsule which Porky seals himself inside at the end of Mother 3 does appear as a spirit.
