Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has categorically announced that the government is not in favour of total privatisation of the state-owned Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC).
TSRTC Joint Action Committee (TSRTC JAC) leaders called off their 52-day-long strike on Monday evening. Giving a call to RTC employees to resume duties from 6 a.m. of Tuesday, they have requested temporary drivers and conductors, who have been offering services during the strike period, not to attend duties.

HYDERABAD: After six months, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) on Friday resumed bus services in Hyderabad. On the other hand, the Chief Minister of Telangana gave a green signal to resume inter-state buses from Telangana to Karnataka and Maharashtra with full-fledged services.
Six months after lockdown was imposed and restrictions continued to combat the COVID -19 pandemic, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation's (TSRTC) buses will hit the roads in Hyderabad from Friday. The move comes a day after the transport juggernaut resumed its suburban services outside the city.
Telangana State Road Transport Corporation buses can run from tomorrow 6am, while following guidelines over COVID-19. Inter-state buses will not be allowed to run to or from Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh since the two states have high incidence of coronavirus cases. Hyderabad city buses will also not run.
There are over 35 buses run by TSRTC between the two cities. The Hyderabad to Bangalore bus timings of the state-run TSRTC are as follows: 1 pm, 3 pm, 3:45 pm, 5 pm, 5:30 pm, 6 pm, 6:40 pm, 7 pm, 7:15 pm, 7: 20 pm, 7:25 pm, 7:30 pm, 7:45 pm, 8:15 pm, 8:30 pm, 8:45 pm, 9 pm, 9:30 pm.
Hyderabad: Awaiting a decision on resumption of city services by the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), the Corporation is keeping its buses ready and fit to start services from the word go. The number of buses to be operated and seating capacity will be decided by government, he said.
