Why is minecraft launcher not downloading
When that happened, my Minecraft launcher icon in the taskbar disappeared but i could still click on it. I restarted my PC, thinking it was some kind of bug, and then the shortcut for the launcher became a white file. I deleted the launcher and tried reinstalling, but when i clicked on the install button in the Store it did not install.

Edit: The Minecraft launcher works! However, it took a very long process to launch the Minecraft software. If you have the same problem, just wait for the launcher to load, even if it takes hours. For me, after I clicked “play,” it probably around an hour and a half for the “downloading” process.
