The Incredibles is a great film, and probably my favourite Pixar picture (Toy Story is the best, but that's different to favourite). It takes a while to properly get into the action, but when it does, it delivers it in spades. And that's exactly it.

So it's time to suit up and get to (still illegal) work. And that's exactly where we find them at the start of The Incredibles 2. My recommendation is to see The Incredibles before watching The Incredibles 2, but it's not required to understand the plot of The Incredibles 2.
The characters' faces are more detailed, the action sequences more elaborate, the design richer and the settings more layered. It's more like “Incredibles 2.0.†Brad Bird, the writer-director of both movies, said these updates were a realization of his hopes for the original.
