Lily had consumption and had become very sick, to which Giuseppe sent her away. While at a hospital, an unknown nurse gave her vampire blood and Lily eventually died of consumption, and completed her transition.
Her main target was Stefan Salvatore who was stabbed by her when she attempted to kill Damon. The wound from her sword marked him allowing her to find Stefan anywhere and compelling her to kill him.

Damon was horrified at what he had done though and this showed Elena's coffin burning to ashes, although it was fake. In This Woman's Work, Tyler reassures Damon that Elena is still alive, slumbering, and safe inside her coffin. This relieves Damon being he only burned an empty coffin several episodes before this one.
Okay, no, you don't have to freak out about Rayna being another Elena doppelgänger like Katherine (because, face it, the doppelgänger storyline was sooooo played out). Rayna is a whole different kind of villain — a dangerous vampire hunter!
In One Way or Another, Virginia tells Bonnie that The Armory is built above a vault. The vault was sealed by a Bennett witch, that is the reason why the Armory is interested to find Bonnie. Virginia also shows that she doesn't want what is inside of the vault to get out.
In his focused zeal to get to Elena, Stefan finds Enzo and Bonnie in his way, which spurs him to kill Enzo without hesitation. As Elena's blood contains the cure to vampirism, Bonnie intended to make Enzo human again, which would allow them to have a family and grow old together.
Rayna agreed to transfer her last life to Bonnie. As the spell is completed, Rayna revealed that Bonnie became the new shamanic huntress in her place. After Damon destroyed the corpse of the last shaman, Bonnie's connection to it also broke, freeing her from her duties and abilities as the huntress.
The weird thing about the story is how it's basically a circle of logic: Damon desiccated himself for three years to save his friends from him hurting them, now they're all mad he desiccated himself for three years and blame all their hurt during that time on him.
From there on, Klaus displays a genuine affection for Caroline, and his attraction and love for her continues to grow as the series continues. They eventually become friends after he proves himself of having some good in him.
– he didn't die because Klaus had taken temporary residence inside Tyler's body, thanks to Bonnie's magic mojo! While the spell and Klaus' “resurrection” possibly saved all of Elena's friends from dying, it also means Klaus isn't truly done messing with them.
Later, Klaus is staked by Alaric, and it is then assumed that Katherine, Damon, Stefan, Caroline, Tyler and Abby will die. However, Bonnie took action before he was staked, and told Tyler that if Klaus possessed him, and if [Klaus' body] was staked, that the others wouldn't die, only Tyler would.
Julie Plec confirmed that Klaus is the origin of the bloodline Stefan, Damon, Caroline and Elena are from. It is possible to unlink a vampire from their bloodline using magic, as Davina attempted in Season Two of The Originals, but her efforts were sabotaged by Kol.
Mikael stabs Katherine, thinking she is Elena, in front of Klaus. Mikael reminded him that the hybrids couldn't kill him, since he is immortal, but Klaus just replied, "But it will make a hell of a party game".
Did he die? Yes, Both Klaus and Elijah Die in the finale episode of season 5, Klaus made the sacrifice to take in all of the Hollows magic from his daughter in order to save her from its dark power and to kill himself so that the world would be rid of this evil dark magic forever.
Anna (Malese Jow) and Vicki (Kayla Ewell) were both killed in the first season, but Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) was able to see them after being brought back from the dead in the second season finale.
Elena plans to kill Kol in order to complete Jeremy's hunter mark to find the cure. She takes control of the plan and tell her friends their role in the plan. She knows that Rebekah would try to keep her from killing her brother if Rebekah found out about her plan.
Stefan Salvatore and Valerie Tulle's Unborn Child was a fetus that was first mentioned in Age of Innocence. This child was killed by Julian in 1863. In Stefan's dream, he was an eleven year old boy named Jacob who was, seemingly, human.
While Stefan and Caroline attempted to try to figure out a way to bring Damon back, Nora, furious at Stefan for taking Mary Louise, used the sword given to her by Julian to stab Stefan in the heart as well, trapping him inside the Phoenix Stone along with his brother.
Caroline and Alaric are engaged to each other in 2016. Caroline gave birth to Alaric's twins; Josie Saltzman and Lizzie Saltzman. However, Caroline doesn't return his affections being one, she still had feelings for Stefan, and two, marrying him made sense to her at the time for their twin daughters.
After almost getting arrested and handcuffed, Stefan escapes and gets his cuffs off at an unknown cabin. It's revealed that Marty has previous history of alcoholism and would die in the cold from detox. In One Way or Another, Stefan is transferred back into his body in the nick of time, leaving behind Marty's corpse.
Stefan and Caroline are married, you guys! Sure, the wedding was rushed in an effort to lure Katherine out of hiding, and it ended in a fiery explosion and the bride's best friend passing out in the groom's arms after Vicki returned from the dead to ring that damn bell, but they did get married, and it was beautiful.
We know that the Phoenix Sword automatically sends the soul of every vampire whose heart it pierces in the Phoenix Stone, essentially killing them. So what if an Original vampire, an Original Hybrid (Klaus) or even an Upgraded Original vampire (Marcel) are marked by the Phoenix Sword and the Huntress dies.
With the phoenix stone destroyed, Stefan's future is in limbo. From the trailer, we can assume that when the phoenix stone was destroyed, all the vampire souls living inside of it were set free, including Stefan's. Unfortunately, that doesn't necessarily mean they went back to the correct bodies.
After Lily died, Julian, who blamed the Salvatore brothers, kills Damon with the Phoenix Sword.
Stefan then told her the same after Alaric died. Elena then sits Caroline down to tell her what Stefan whispered in her ear: “Tell Caroline I heard her,” he told her. “And I will love her forever too.” He got her message!!!
The show was canceled, as announced by creator Julie Plec as they've discussed it and decided to sadly conclude the series. If you do want to watch the ninth season, the Vampire Diaries installment will be released on The CW in March of 2021.
As the two shared a hug, Stefan whispered something indistinct into Elena's ear and once Bonnie broke the sleeping spell, Elena revealed what Stefan said: his final words were for Caroline. "One day, when you wake up, tell Caroline I heard her.
Stefan Salvatore found love with Caroline Forbes in the later seasons of The Vampire Diaries. Although the show initially centered around his relationship with Elena Gilbert, it gradually moves away from the love triangle premise after Elena falls in love with Damon.
And it seems Stefan chose to kill Elena. With that, Damon kills the first innocent person he sees, a visual that ensures Dorian will never choose life as a vampire. Caroline then gets Dorian to safety before Damon goes after Stefan.
After Stefan checks on Jeremy to make sure that he is not a vampire, John gives Jeremy his ring before leaving town. After being rejected by Elena, Damon kills Jeremy but the ring brings him back.
Nope, till the end of the season 8, Elena was a vampire, and in the final episode she becomes human, and both Elena and Damon are shown to enter peace. And in the spin offs too, there is no mention of their kids . So no she never did pregnant.
No one ever stays dead in The Vampire Diaries Universe. Stefan Salvatore died and found Peace in the afterlife in The Vampire Diaries Season 8 finale, and the end of the series showed Stefan reuniting with his brother Damon Salvatore at the end of Damon's long human life.
Stefan decides to take the human cure from his own veins, making him age faster and eventually, reach death. While Damon is already holding onto Katherine while waiting for the hellfire to kill both of them, Stefan injects the cure to Damon. Stefan saves Damon, who is now a human, and dies with Katherine.
