To resolve this, try removing the music folder from Sonos and adding it back again. You can do this in the Sonos Desktop Controller for Mac or PC under Manage > Music Library Settings. “Access Denied” can also appear if a firewall is blocking the computer's ability to share music files with Sonos over the network.
Before you start, make sure you've updated the Sonos app on your iOS or Android device to the latest version. Sonos needs the new router's information to connect to your home network again. This can also happen if you or someone else recently changed network settings such as the WiFi network's name or password.
Adding your music library using a desktop controller
- From the “Manage” menu, select “Music Library Settings”.
- Click + (plus) on a Mac, or “Add” if you are using a PC.
- If you use iTunes or are not sure where your music is stored, leave “In My Music folder” selected.
If you're using iTunes 12.2
- Open iTunes and Preferences.
- Click the Advanced tab.
- Make sure Share iTunes Library XML with other applications is checked.
- Update the music library index in Sonos.
- Browse to Music Library > Imported Playlists from the Sonos music menu to view and play your playlists.
From the menu, tap on Add Music Service, tap Apple Music, tap Add to Sonos, then Start 3-Month Free Trial. On Android, if you don't have Apple Music installed, you'll be taken to the Google Play Store to download it. Or, on iOS, simply open Music and sign up for your free trial.

- Click ☰. It's in the upper-left side of the page.

If you are using a Mac, open iTunes and tap to choose a speaker. Note that you may experience a delay while streaming audio from games or some video apps via AirPlay.
This means you can use Sonos speakers to play audio from iTunes on the Mac and all iPhone and iPad apps including Music, TV, YouTube, and Netflix. You can also press play on an older Sonos speaker without AirPlay 2 to pick up the audio stream from a compatible Sonos speaker.
Connect an iPhone or iPad to Sonos
- Download And Install The Sonos App. . You can go to the App Store and download the controller app for free.
- Run The App. . When running the controller app, you must have your iPhone or iPad connected to the same WiFi network that your Sonos products are connected to.

Make sure you're connected to the right Wi-Fi network
Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your computer, phone, or tablet, and confirm it is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as Sonos. Check that your device isn't connected to a guest network as this can prevent your device from connecting to Sonos.As others have said, if they are on the same WiFi network as the speakers, the Sonos App will show the list of speakers. No need for you to sign in to the app. The newer Sonos speakers support AirPlay if they're using iPhones/Pads. Very easy to stream on the same WiFi network.
Adding
multiple accounts requires that you provide a name for each account.
