The Doctor has a lot of enemies so anyone who knows his name is in danger of being targeted. It's the lock to his grave and, by extension, the location of his time stream.
In Let's Kill Hitler, When River first meets the doctor, his last request before he dies is for Mels to deliver a whispered message to River. On The Wedding of River Song he whispers, "Look into my eye." and then lies and says that he just told her his name.
Who is the doctor's mother?

Clara is a future regeneration of River Song who's had her memory erased. River is, after all, a Time Lord. We've seen her regenerate before. In favor: Doctor Who has a proven record of trading in its Time Lords for younger models (see The Master in “Utopia” and, oh, every regeneration of the Doctor).
After looking into the heart of the TARDIS, the Time Vortex itself filled Rose Tyler, who then temporarily became the Bad Wolf entity. She scattered the two words throughout time as a sign to herself that she was linked to the Doctor, creating a looped ontological paradox.
Susan's original final story in the show was The Dalek Invasion of Earth. In that key story, the First Doctor left his granddaughter on Earth, so she could start a new life with David Campbell, whom she had fallen in love with. Earth had just defeated a Dalek invasion, and the Daleks had caused a lot of devastation.
The Doctor is not from Earth, he is a Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey. The Time Lords were considered to be one of the oldest and most powerful races in the universe. Sometime in the future the Time Lords went to war against the Daleks and lost, the Doctor is the only known survivor.
Tennant is the
daughter of the actor Peter Davison, who portrayed the
Doctor's fifth incarnation from 1981 to 1984.

Upon arriving at the Source, the Doctor told the respective parties to end the war, whereupon General Cobb aimed his gun and shot at him, Jenny jumping in the way of the bullet. She was shot through one of her hearts, and died, but did not regenerate.
Who audio appearances. Thus far, there has been no explicit mention of a brother. The only information we have on any immediate family of the Doctor is: Susan, his granddaughter, who appears regularly in the first ten serials or so (season one and start of season two).
The Doctor chose "The Doctor" because he wanted to help people. I believe this was revealed in one of the episodes featuring The Master. He chose the name The Doctor he said' The name you choose is like a promise you make' as stated before "Doctor…the word for healer, and wise man, throughout the universe."
#DoctorWho. ' '”Most Dangerous creature in the universe” – this has to be the Daleks,' another posted. '”Kill anyone that gets in its path” After what I now call “Series Driveleven” – it BETTER be Daleks.
In terms of firepower, the answer would have to be the Special Weapons Dalek. Designed by Davros as the ultimate weapon in the battle between his own Imperial Daleks and the Emperor's Renegade Daleks (those are his own terms), it could completely destroy a Renegade with one blast from its cannon.
So who's the Doctor, then? He's a time-traveling alien from the planet Gallifrey. He makes his way through all of space and time in a spaceship/time machine shaped like a British police box (think of a blue phone booth). This vehicle is called the TARDIS, which is short for Time and Relative Dimension in Space.
To beat a Dalek with pure force, you'd need to use their own weapons against them, using mirrors or dodging. Another option would be to heroically rugby tackle them over from the side, and stab them in the eyestalk when they're down (this is for if you don't have a mirror, rifle, etc.)
The Silence were defeated when the Doctor ensured the world saw footage of a Silent apparently ordering people to attack them on sight. This 'command' acted like a post-hypnotic suggestion and humans finally turned on the aliens.
Episodes. Doctor Who originally ran for 26 seasons on BBC One, from 23 November 1963 until 6 December 1989. During the original run, each weekly episode formed part of a story (or "serial") — usually of four to six parts in earlier years and three to four in later years.
The Daleks were created by Terry Nation and designed by the BBC designer Raymond Cusick. They were introduced in December 1963 in the second Doctor Who serial, colloquially known as The Daleks.
