The governor appoints and swears in the chief minister, whose Council of Ministers are collectively responsible to the assembly. Based on the Westminster system, given that he retains the confidence of the assembly, the chief minister's term can last for the length of the assembly's life—a maximum of five years.
Buddhism and Hinduism are the two major religions of Sikkim. Perhaps, Buddhism comes into view as the predominant religious practice in Sikkim. Though, Hinduism is the actual religion that is followed by the majority of people. Buddhism is practiced by most of the Tibetans and the Bhutias.

Recent history
The Chinese government eventually recognised Sikkim as an Indian state in 2003, on the condition that India officially recognise Tibet as a part of China; New Delhi had originally accepted Tibet as a part of China in 1953 during the government of Jawaharlal Nehru.Only Sikkimese residents are permitted to buy land here. Article 371F of the Constitution of India, which grants special provisions to Sikkim, prohibits sale and purchase of land or property involving outsiders. In addition to this, only tribals can purchase land and property in the tribal areas of the state.
Travel and tour operators in Kolkata however said that Sikkim is one of the safest states in the country to visit and that this may have been an isolated incident. “Sikkim is a very hassle free, peaceful place to visit.
Pakyong Airport is a greenfield RCS airport at Pakyong town near Gangtok, the state capital of Sikkim, India. It is also the first greenfield airport constructed in the Northeastern Region of India, the 100th operational airport in India, and the only airport in the state of Sikkim.
From 1642 to 1975, Sikkim was ruled by the Namgyal Monarchy (also called the Chogyal Monarchy), founded by the fifth-generation descendants of Guru Tashi, a prince of the Minyak House who came to Sikkim from the Kham district of Tibet.
The constituency has been represented by a member of the Sikkim Democratic Front party since 1996. Bhim Prasad Dahal was the MP from 1996–2004. Nakul Das Rai won the seat in the 2004 election. The current MP is Prem Das Rai, who has represented the constituency since 2009.
As suggested by Sikkim Tourism, the best time to visit Sikkim is either between March and May or October and mid-December. If you want to witness the blooming natural beauty in Gangtok best season to visit would be in spring, from March to May. Autumn, on the other hand, brings the clear view of Himalayan Range.
The Meghalaya Legislative Assembly is the legislative organ of the state. The legislature has 60 seats chosen through first-past-the-post method. The party or coalition with more than 30 seats can form the executive.
Manik Sarkar of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) served as Chief Minister of Tripura from 1998 to 2018; his reign was the longest in the state's history. The current incumbent is Biplab Kumar Deb, who is also the first CM of the state from the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Jagdambika Pal. Jagdambika Pal (born 21 October 1950) is an Indian politician who was a member of 15th Lok Sabha & 16th Lok Sabha and was a leader of Indian National Congress, until he resigned on 7 March 2014.

The first was Jawaharlal Nehru of the Indian National Congress party, who was sworn in on 15 August 1947, when India gained independence from the British Raj. Serving until his death in May 1964, Nehru remains India's longest-serving prime minister.
On 21 December 2016 in a high octane drama Khandu was suspended from the party by the party president and Takam Pario was named as the next likely Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh replacing Khandu after People's Party of Arunachal suspended Khandu along with 6 other MLAs.
