St David was born in the year 500, the grandson of Ceredig ap Cunedda, king of Ceredigion. According to legend, his mother St Non gave birth to him on a Pembrokeshire clifftop during a fierce storm. The spot is marked by the ruins of Non's Chapel, and a nearby holy well is said to have healing powers.
To travel to St Davids by train, the best station is nearby Haverfordwest, around 16 miles away. Trains call at Haverfordwest from Milford Haven, Cardiff and Manchester, and connecting bus routes will continue your onward journey to St Davids.

St Davids was made a city in 1994, to mark its role in Christian heritage. As part of the commemorations of the 40th of anniversary of the Queen's accession to the throne, it was decided that one city in England and Wales would be given the status.

The walk from Saundersfoot to Tenby is marked as 3 miles on google and is said to take just over 1 hour however I would say that it took me about 1.5 hours and I walk pretty fast (although I did stop a lot to take photos!).
