Optus generally offers some of the better NBN evening speeds on the market, 45.7Mbps for NBN 50 plans, and 87.9Mbps for NBN 100 plans, at the time of writing. Optus also offers 24/7 phone and chat support and free home phone bundling with unlimited standard local and national calls and unlimited calls to mobiles.

Certain internet providers such as AT&T offer fixed wireless home internet that you can get without a phone, cable or a fiber line. The NBN service from Internode is excellent. They have excellent customer service and local call centres. I recommend Internode to anyone. Don't fall for cheap imitations.
