When you block someone, they won't be able to see things you post on your profile, tag you in posts, comments or photos, invite you to events or groups, start a conversation with you, or add you as a friend. If you block someone you're friends with, Facebook will unfriend them as well.
Being blocked by someone
- You can no longer see a contact's last seen or online in the chat window.
- You do not see updates to a contact's profile photo.
- Any messages sent to a contact who has blocked you will always show one check mark (message sent), and never show a second check mark (message delivered).
Blocking someone practically hides your profile from each other. You aren't able to access their Facebook profile page at all. So neither you nor the blocked person will be able to create a new post on each other's timeline. Similarly, both of you won't be able to see each other's posts and comments on mutual pages.
Facebook's reasoning for removing likes is to emphasize the quality of content users share and take away the popularity aspect, which has associated mental-health implications for teens. Visit Business Insider's homepage for more stories.
If they ignore your posts, they see less of them over time. This means if you're not posting often enough, you're letting that affinity fade. When you finally do post, your reach is down because no one has engaged with you in a while. You're stuck until you foster enough engagement to get back to where you were.
