Called the "Xfinity Terabyte Internet Data Usage Plan," the cap restricts the amount of data you consume in your home to 1TB per month regardless of the speed of your plan. When you are in your home and connected to your in-home Xfinity network, streaming video to the Xfinity Stream app and portal is an in-home cable service delivered over Comcast's managed cable network, not over the Internet, so it will not count towards your Xfinity Internet monthly data usage.

Not currently, Data usage via XFINITY WiFi and Cable WiFi hotspots (over the xfinitywifi or cablewifi network signals) does not currently count towards the customer's XFINITY Internet data plan.

The apps that use the most data typically are the apps that you use the most. For a lot of people, that's Facebook, Instagram, Netflix, Snapchat, Spotify, Twitter and YouTube. If you use any of these apps daily, change these settings to reduce how much data they use.

You can turn your wifi and cellular data on and you will get charged for data even if you are browsing the internet and using apps through wifi. So if you at home and you have a wifi signal then use only wifi and keep the cellular data turned off.
