However, Italy has not won a Six Nations match since their 22–19 away win against Scotland in Round 3 of the 2015 tournament, losing every game since; this equates to a losing run of 30 matches.

There is only one way France can win the Six Nations Championship. Les Bleus must beat Scotland with a bonus point on Friday night. That will draw them level with Wales in the table and the title will be decided on points difference.
France need a bonus-point victory and winning margin of 21 points or more to pip Wales to the post. If France win in bonus-point fashion and take the match by exactly 20 points, it will come down to tournament try-count between Les Bleus and Wales.
If Wales lose with a bonus point as France win without one, Wales will win the title. If Wales lose without a bonus point they can still win the title if France fail to overhaul their 19 point tally or match it and do not overhaul the points-difference deficit.
That means that, for France to win the tournament, they must beat Scotland on Friday night by more than 20 points and score four tries. If France score four tries and win by exactly 20 points, then both teams will be level on table points and points difference. The next differentiating factor is tries scored.
If Wales win: They are Grand Slam champions. If it's a draw: Wales are Six Nations champions. Even if France get a bonus point win, Wales will still win the title if they score four tries and lose by seven points or less as they will get two bonus points.
Wales are the European champions. Wayne Pivac's men won the 2021 Guinness Six Nations after France failed to achieve the sizeable victory required to snatch the title from Welsh hands. Wales won four titles, including three Grand Slams, during Gatland's reign from 2007-2019.
The Six Nations is one of the oldest tournaments in rugby, having been played in one form or another for more than 138 years. It takes place every year between the top rugby union-playing countries in Europe.
