The feature that Bitmoji most wanted to improve was hairstyles. The company notes that "the most common request from our community has been for new and improved hairstyle options." Dozens of additional hairstyles and coloring options are now available, including braids, twists, and locs.
Go to your user page. Mouse over your current avatar, then click the "Edit avatar" link that appears. Press the "Choose file" button and choose your image from your computer. Click the "Save, I'm Done" button to save your avatar.
To fix this, try to re-link your Bitmoji account to refresh the connection. Open Snapchat and tap on the Profile icon on the top left corner of your screen. After that, tap on Settings and select Bitmoji. Now, tap on Unlink My Bitmoji.
However, you can also overhaul the avatar using the Snapchat app. Once inside the main Snapchat window, tap on the profile icon in the upper-left corner, then tap the avatar's face, and select Edit Bitmoji. The editing menu gives you three options: Change My Outfit, Edit My Bitmoji, and Choose a Selfie.
- Step 1Choose 'Bitmoji Deluxe' First, update the Bitmoji app for iPhone or Android if you already have it installed; install it if you don't.
- Step 3Take Your Selfie. You'll now be on a screen that shows a woman and man avatar.

?? Important Note: If you created your Bitmoji account using Snapchat Login, your Bitmoji avatar will be permanently deleted if you unlink your accounts — you will need to re-create your avatar from scratch if you decide to use Bitmoji again.
You can start fresh with your Bitmoji avatar by resetting it. Open Bitmoji and tap on the settings gear icon in the top left then scroll down and tap on “Reset Avatar.”
A: To change your Bitmoji Selfie, follow these steps:
- In the Snapchat app, tap on your Bitmoji avatar in the top-left corner of the camera screen.
- Under 'Bitmoji,' tap 'Select Selfie'
- Scroll down to see all the Selfies, then tap to choose your Bitmoji Selfie.
- Tap 'Done' on the bottom to save your changes.
Towards the bottom of the outfits menu, there's a small selection of clothing options dedicated to maternity fashion. Tap on a maternity outfit. Selecting an outfit from the maternity selection will automatically turn your Bitmoji pregnant.
If you're driving, your Bitmoji is probably also driving on the Snap Map. But it's not just actions and locations that alter the Bitmoji's pose. The time of day also has an impact. You will notice that a period of inactivity, while the app is still on, can change your Bitmoji's pose to a person sleeping in an armchair.
Change or Clear Your Cameo Selfie
- Open a Chat ??
- Tap in the Chat bar.
- Tap on a Cameos tile and tap '… More'
- Tap 'New Selfie' ??
To retake your Cameo selfie, do the following:
- Open a chat with one of your contacts.
- Tap the smiley face in the message window.
- Find Cameos, click More, and then New Selfie.
