The Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) assessments of Maryland College and Career Ready Standards (MCCRS) will build a pathway to college and career readiness by the end of high school, mark students' progress toward this goal from grade 3 through high school, and provide teachers with timely information
Each student will be given sets of items with an associated stimulus. The stimulus may include technical passages to read, a video, charts/diagrams, or a simulation with which the student interacts. The stimulus may include multiple tabs for student interaction.
A scale score is a numerical value that summarizes student performance. PARCC reports provide overall scale scores for English language arts/literacy and mathematics, which determine a student's performance level. PARCC scale scores range from 650 to 850 for all tests.
PARCC refers to a collection of exams administered to public school students on a yearly basis. Developed by experts from multiple states, PARCC exams are designed to measure student progress while establishing Common Core standards for grades 3-11.

In Maryland, you may test if ages 16-18 if you:

MCAP is for middle-income families who do not have health insurance and whose income is too high for no-cost Medi-Cal. MCAP is also available to women who have other health insurance plans that doesn't cover maternity services or with a maternity-only deductible or copayment greater than $500.
