With the then-upcoming television show Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, DC decided they did not want to have the two married in the comics and not married on TV. Partially as a result of this, Superman was killed in Superman #75 instead, dying in Lois' arms after a battle royal with the monster Doomsday.
Print issues of the series are released biweekly, collecting two digital issues each. The first print issue was published on May 3, 2017. The series ended in October 2018.
He proceeds to face his dark counterpart in a final battle where he emerges victorious, ending the reign of the One Earth Regime. After the High Councillor's downfall and the Regime's defeat in Metropolis, the Regime is dismantled and all of its accomplices are detained.
Injustice 2 continues the storyline established in Injustice: Gods Among Us. Unlike the previous game, which centered on a multi-universe conflict, the plot for Injustice 2 takes place entirely within the alternate, dystopian universe.
