According to a new market forecast, Spotify's U.S. podcast listenership will surpass Apple Podcasts for the first time this year when 28.2 million U.S. users will listen to podcasts on Spotify at least monthly, compared with 28.0 million via Apple Podcasts.
One of the most bemoaned aspects of Apple's Podcasts app has been its issues with syncing, where users have found that the app fails to sync episodes added to a library, individual podcast settings, and listened to episodes across devices. Apple has changed the way that the Podcasts library works in iOS 14.5.
Spotify has said the Joe Rogan Experience will remain free and accessible to all Spotify users. Spotify said Tuesday that Rogan's show was its most popular podcast in 2020 despite only joining the app on Sept. 1.

If you are a Spotify free user, you can use Sidify to download songs from Spotify to your computer to achieve offline listening. By using Spotify offline mode, you can listen to Spotify songs offline within subscription, but once you cancel the service, you won't be able to listen to any of them offline.
Go to your Spotify settings, scroll down to Storage and then clear the cache. From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps. Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and clear the cache and data. Open the Google Play Store then search for and install the Spotify Music app.
Visit the Spotify website and sign-up. Download and install the free Spotify application. There are versions for desktop and iPhone/iPad and Android phones. Sign into your account on those devices and get listening.
