Labeling and saying a student is 'good' or 'bad' is relative and doesn't help them. As a result, they're not paying much attention in class and being a less effective student, who doesn't possess discipline and or drive to follow through with assignments, studying and setting aside time for play.
Webster's dictionary. defines “success” as a “favorable or desired outcome.” Thus, student success may be. defined as a favorable or desirable student outcome. In my estimation, the following desirable outcomes have been the most frequently cited indicators of student success in higher education.

Teachers want students to come to class each day ready to learn. They want them to come prepared, focused, and motivated. They want students to enjoy the learning process and to be active participants in the learning process. Teachers want students to be respectful.
Academic skills: Acquiring academic skills is the most important quality of a good student. Ability to read comprehensively, to write effectively, to speak fluently, and to communicate clearly are the key areas in which a student must be proficient.

Student responsibility occurs when students take an active role in their learning by recognizing they are accountable for their academic success. Student responsibility is demonstrated when students make choices and take actions which lead them toward their educational goals. demonstrate academic integrity and honesty.
Duties of a Good Student. Student must be punctual and regular as well and should pay proper and continuous attention towards his final goal. Student should be considered equally important on all subject and It is the moral duty of every learner that he should provide proper respect and reverence to his teachers.
