Eagle Scout was still available to male Explorers to earn if they had earned First Class or higher in a Boy Scout Troop.
Starting age for Beavers is usually 6, but this will depend upon the Scout Group's own waiting list policies. Looking ahead, children can join Cubs from around the age of 8 and Scouts from 10 and a half. Explorer Scouting starts at 14 and runs until Scouts are 18.
The Beaver Colony is the first and youngest section of the Scout Group. Beaver Scouts are young people aged between 6 and 8 years old. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 5¾, and can move to Cubs between age 7½ and 8½.

How Much Does Beavers Cost? Most groups will invite children along for a few taster sessions before they actually join Beavers. This is a chance for them to make sure they like it before you pay your subscription. These are generally paid termly and are set by the group.
Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. Young people can join Beaver Scouts in the three months leading up to their sixth birthday.
The term has been adopted by Scouting organizations to reflect skills and knowledge which are felt to be a core part of the various programs, alongside community and spirituality. Skills commonly included are camping, cooking, first aid, wilderness survival, orienteering and pioneering.
Upon hearing the Scout motto, someone asked Scouting founder Robert Baden-Powell the inevitable follow-up question. “Prepared for what?” “Why, for any old thing,” he replied. In 1907, Baden-Powell, an English soldier, devised the Scout motto: Be Prepared.

Cub Scouts meet in their dens once each week, and a pack meeting is held for all Cub Scouts and their families once a month.
Scouting helps youth develop academic skills, self-confidence, ethics, leadership skills, and citizenship skills that influence their adult lives. Try new things. Provide service to others. Build self-confidence.
The annual membership fee is $66 which covers 12 months of members and there is a one time joining fee of $25 (Effective August 1, 2020). For only $1 a month, $12 for the year, Cub Scouts may subscribe to Boys' Life magazine. There may be additional local program fees and/or dues.
Scouting provides youth with an opportunity to try new things, provide service to others, build self-confidence, and reinforce ethical standards.

The Scout Association used the term Scoutmaster originally, but the term Scout Leader is now used. Other adult leaders in the Scout Troop are called Assistant Scout Leaders. A District Explorer Scout Leader may also be appointed to assist a District Explorer Scout Commissioner.
It is to be noted that Explorers may use firearms during approved training programs or competitive events while under the direct supervision of a certified firearms instructor.
As of this writing, the Girl Scouts will not accept any boys in to the program. One of my Boy Scouts who recently Eagled, I was sure was going to be the male Girl Scout before he joined my troop. His mother was a GSA Troop leader, former military, so their troop was more adventurous than a lot.
The Boy Scouts of America requires all Scouts to believe in a God or comparable higher power, but currently admits Scouts who are non-theistic Buddhists, Jains, and Hindus from non-theistic sectarian groups. The religious awards of all three faiths are recognized by The Boy Scouts of America.
In the Scouts, troops are only for boys while girls take part in the Girl Scouts. In Venturing, the crews are co-ed, allowing for Girl and Boy Scouts to join the adventures. As for age, anyone 14 to 21 can partake in Venturing. The BSA helps serve kids of all ages with programs they'll enjoy.

What is Sea Scouts? Sea Scouts are just like any other scout group, except we do a lot of our activities in and around the water, such as canoeing, kayaking, sailing, rafting, paddleboarding and power boating.
