And the winner isDespite the more-affordable price of the Samsung TU8000, it's clear that the TCL 6-Series is the better choice for most people. Its stellar performance and top-notch smart platform more than make up for the difference in cost between these two TVs.

This TCL 4-Series Ultra HD TV can't beat any of the models above on image quality -- its 4K resolution and HDR compatibility don't do anything to help the picture -- but it's perfectly fine for most people, especially at this price. Sizes: 43-, 50-, 55-, 65-, 75-inch. (The price shown below is for the 50-inch size.)
The best TCL TV that we've tested is the TCL 6 Series/R635 2020 QLED. It's a nice improvement over 2019's TCL 6 Series/R625 2019, and it competes with higher-end, more expensive models.
The TCL 6 Series 2020 is great for HDR gaming. It has a quick response time, low input lag, and a 120Hz refresh rate.
One nice surprise TCL and Roku tucked into the TV is that it has Chromecast built-in - a handy feature that allows you to cast content from your mobile device to your TV.
If you're looking for a cheap television that offers a lot for the price, TCL will often be a good bet – often for very large sized televisions too. TCL's televisions tend to go quite heavy on picture processing, which some would say provides a dynamic picture, but can lead to off-color pictures and middling contrast.
In terms of upgrades from the PS4 Pro, the PS5 now supports 4k gaming up to 120fps, and many TVs now have the required HDMI 2.1 support to display that resolution at such a high frame rate. Also, see our recommendations for the best gaming TVs, the best 4k TVs, and the best HDR TVs.
In its Ultimate FAQ's Sony confirmed that the “PS5 does not require a 4K TV. The main thing to look out for is the HDMI connection – the PS5 has an HDMI 2.1 cable in the box, so you'd get the best resolution if your set-up could match that quality.
Screen size is the main argument gamers use to choose either a gaming monitor or a TV. Most gaming monitors are between 21 inches and 27 inches whereas TVs are much larger – some over 100 inches. Details tend to get lost while playing split-screen on a gaming monitor as they cannot compete in size.
If your TV is HDR, it deserves HDR content too. Without 4K content, a 4K TV can't look its best. Your old DVD collection along with most HD cable and satellite channels are going to look soft. This is because compared to the ultra-high resolution of your new TV, they are.
In fact, no matter what number you see listed with a 4K TV, no 4K TV has a native panel refresh rate higher than 120Hz. Refresh rate is the number time times per second (written in hertz, or Hz) a TV refreshes its image. Movies are almost always filmed 24 frames per second, or 24Hz.
QLED comes out on top on paper, delivering a higher brightness, longer lifespan, larger screen sizes, and lower price tags. OLED, on the other hand, has a better viewing angle, deeper black levels, uses less power, and might be better for your health.
Disadvantages: TVs have significantly high response time so if you play competitive games on it then you'll notice the lag(upwards of 25–30ms). Also, most TVs only have a maximum of 60Hz Refresh Rate which may not be ideal for the best gaming experience and definitely not good for competitive gaming.
QLED TVs are covered against TV Burn-in for 10 years.
Then there's the TVThat's not too bad, but probably not as smooth as you're used to. Nearly all console games were designed to run at 60fps, for example, even at the expense of resolution and other factors. Nearly all 4K TVs this year are HDMI 2.0, which ups the max 4K framerate to 60.
This has been a long time in the marking for Panasonic; the company once used to be a leading maker of televisions, but because of intense competition from Chinese and South Korean manufacturers, previously ceased making LCD TVs in 2016.
LG has previously said its OLED TVs can last 30,000 hours, or around 10 years with an average daily viewing of eight hours, without burn-ins.

Organic contrastOLED stands for organic light-emitting diode. Each pixel in an OLED display is made of a material that glows when you jab it with electricity.
There are many qualities to consider in choosing the best 4K TV for gaming: Color accuracy, contrast, color gamut, viewing angles, power utilization, screen reflections, smart TV features, and more.
OLEDs Are High-End TVsGenerally, image quality is considered to be better on an OLED. LG and Sony's 2020 models have been praised for their out-of-box color accuracy. At this price point, you get a high-end TV, with a quality build and rich feature set. This makes it virtually impossible to find a “budget” OLED TV.
OLED TVs really are good for your eyes. As reported by TV, gaming and media publication FlatpanelsHD, TÜV Rheinland found that LG Display's OLED panels passed its tests for flicker, while further tests have found the panels to be almost flicker-free.
