How to use minecraft region fixer

region-fixer.exe
There are other answers below:
Using the Tool. As a preface, you can get the tool to scan either a specified world (user data, chunks, etc) or just a specified region file, for example. python region-fixer.py /route/to/minecraft/world. python region-fixer.py /route/to/minecraft/world/region/r.0.0.mca.
– Once Command Prompt is open type “cd (directory to your Minecraft Region Fixer folder) – Next type “regionfixer.py -p 4 –delete-corrupted (directory to your Minecraft world) – This should begin the process, now just sit back and wait for it to complete. EDIT:) This post was for a version of this software from 2019, and was on minecraft 1.13.2.
In windows you can use one by running the application “cmd”. Once there, go where the region-fixer is downloaded and if you have downloaded the source code and python write “region-fixer.py –help” to see the help, or “region-fixer.exe –help” if you have downloaded the exe version. Hope this helps! :smile.gif:
The command format is: cd
Region-Fixer still is useful for replacing chunks/regions with a backup, removing entities, or trying to see what’s going wrong with your world. Usage. You can read the program help running: “python regionfixer.py –help” For usage examples and more info visit the wiki:

Regionfixer scans and fixes worlds, I don’t know what you refer with caching. Regionfixer was originally designed to be run on servers, so no problem there. You can run regionfixer if you have CLI access to your server.
Region fixer? I somehow don’t really trust stuff like that. First I’d copy the world and leave the original alone, this is safer. Try accessing the copy with your regular Minecraft client. It will probably fail, but who knows… Next step: MCEdit. It’s not full proof but it can very well help you to retrieve stuff from the map nonetheless.
All the instructions for the program are on the site. I have the website+ my world save if anyone wants to help The world save is MC version 1.7.10 FYI. Website: Save:
