Some visitors to Bali get a Visa on Arrival, even though they can enter Bali with the free visa and pay the USD 63 at the visa on arrival counter in the arrival hall at the international airport.Your passport should have at least six months of validity if you're traveling internationally. Many countries will deny you entry if your passport isn't valid for at least 6 months after your last day of travel. Short answer, both. You can use credit cards in Bali at most hotels, restaurants and tour operators. However, getting around and experiencing Bali will mean you need local currency (Rupiah) as most smaller local businesses and markets don't have EFT-POS machines. Definitely bring cash with you.

Indian Nationals who are travelling to Bali, Indonesia for tourist purpose do not need Visa to stay up to 30 days since 2015. But visitors need to provide their valid return tickets, passport, and sufficient funds for expenses during their stay.No visa is required for a stay of up to 30 days. Please keep in mind that if you are staying less than 30 days, you must: Hold a passport valid for at least six months with at least two blank visa pages.
So if you are staying for less than 30 days, all you need is your passport when entering the country. Unfortunately, entering Visa Free does not allow you to extend your visa. If you entered without paying for a visa, you can only stay in Indonesia for 30 days. You cannot extend a visa that you do not have.
