iMac is another computer line of the Apple and just like any other Apple device or Macs, iMacs can normally run perfectly for 4-5 years without any problem. But with proper care and maintenance, your iMac can run for 7-8 years as well.

The iMac got a 5K Retina display in 2014 (the 4K model followed in 2015), and that was a big step forward. Today's models support gorgeous wide color gamuts at high resolution. They're great devices for that use. The iMac is also a pretty good value, because it comes with that high-resolution screen.
Apple refreshed the 27-inch iMac lineup on August 4, 2020, introducing 10th-generation Intel processors, more RAM, more SSD storage, faster AMD GPUs, and True Tone support for the display. The 21.5-inch iMac received no refresh, though it does now ship with an SSD by default rather than a Fusion Drive.

It boasts the usual updates: faster processors, better RAM and storage options, and better graphics processing. It also has a new webcam and better microphones. But it's not a radical change overall. Rather, the new iMac represents a subtle refinement of one of the world's best (albeit priciest) computers.
Answer: Macs are not good for gaming because they focus more on software optimization than on raw hardware power. Most Macs simply don't have the kind of hardware power required to run modern games and the selection of games available for macOS is very small compared to Windows.

The iMac finally gets a touchscreen. The Mac Touch concept created by Antonio De Rosa would transform the iMac into a powerful creation PC by adding a revolving and adjustable touchscreen. Video and photo editing, drawing, or even just surfing the internet would feel more magical on this iMac.
If you're buying a computer solely for the aspect of running live streams, then any current Mac (as of 2020) is probably not a great option, since you pay a lot of money for something that is mostly 'adequate' (and not 'great') for streaming.
A macbook is definitely worth the money you spend on it's purchase. Unless you are a hardcore game enthusiast, because there are not too may games available for Mac OS X.
It is a very good computer. Obviously the iMac is very good for programmers, first because it is fast and the screen is super; second because the macOS system is unix-based, therefore it fits server side programming very well. The only thing you should consider, to buy it with min. 512GB SSD.

Apple MacBooks have never been designed to perform solely as gaming laptops. Our favorite current model, the 16-inch MacBook Pro (2019) i7 processor, includes numerous features that make it a terrific device for casual gamers.
It's also the first iMac with a 1080p FaceTime HD camera. In terms of storage, Apple is only offering all-flash SSD on the 27-inch model. By contrast, the older 21.5-inch version still provides a 1TB Fusion Drive as an option, besides SSD. With SSD, overall, you get to experience higher capacity and lightning speed.
If you're looking for a secondary computer for your home or on a tight budget, consider the entry-level 21.5-inch iMac. It features an HD display and comes with macOS Catalina, just like other Macs. Keep in mind, however, the 21.5-inch iMac is likely to receive a refresh later in 2020.
If you're considering a 21.5-inch 4K iMac for undemanding tasks like emailing, web browsing, and general productivity, then a quad-core i3 processor should suit your needs well, but if you're looking to do something more CPU-intensive like gaming or video-editing then it's worth paying the extra $300 on the mid-tier
I find it hard to recommend the 21.5-inch iMac to anyone at this point. The screen is far too small for the price Apple is asking, and you're better off buying a Mac mini and attaching a separate 4K display to it.
Is a Mac or PC Laptop Better? If you prefer Apple's tech, and don't mind accepting that you'll have fewer hardware choices, you're better of getting a Mac. If you'd like more hardware choices, and want a platform that's better for gaming, you should get a PC.
If you're shopping for a Mac model that only comes with Intel processors, like the 16-inch MacBook Pro or the iMac, you should still buy an Intel model if you need one now. The 27-inch iMac in particular was recently updated with new 10th-generation Intel processors and AMD GPUs that make it a reasonably safe buy.
The baseline iMac pro specs configured on a Lenovo workstation costs 2300$ more. The Xeon, ECC RAM, and workstation GPU by themselves will add nearly $2-3k to any build. They're not geared towards consumers, and they're priced with enterprise support in mind.
The creativity, software support, market engagement, and robust project environments that will result from the high end machines and their users are of big benefit to all Mac users. The Mac Pro promises that those who will need to go there in the future actually can.
Apple computers are underpowered because they run macOS, and macOS doesn't need computing power. It is the power. Mac laptops and low end desktops are indeed pretty under powered. They forgo powerful parts in Lou of using the Mac OS which is heavily optimized for those parts, and provides a good UI.
Apple's new Mac Pro is available to order today: it starts at $5,999, but if you want the most powerful Mac money can buy, it'll cost you $53,799, making it the single most expensive Mac ever made. That eye-watering price tag comes with some seriously impressive specs to match, though.
