Mercari Help Center. The Make an Offer feature is an easy way for buyers and sellers to negotiate over the price of an item. When a buyer makes an offer, the seller has 24 hours to accept, decline, or make a counteroffer. Once an offer or counteroffer is accepted, the buyer is immediately charged the new price.
How do I make an Offer? To make an offer as a buyer, just tap the blue Offer button next to the Buy Now button. Remember, all offers are binding, and you will be charged as soon as your seller accepts your offer.
As the buyer will be eagerly awaiting their purchase, we ask you to ship the item within 3 business days. Mercari will provide the suggested shipping label based on the item weight, packaging, and the size of the box. We recommend you use our suggested weight to avoid additional shipping fees for overages.
To check your items' views and likes, go to My Page and tap “Selling.” Beneath the item's image, the eye icon stands for views and the heart icon stands for likes.
Coupons are automatically applied at the time of purchase. If you have more than one eligible coupon, tap “Coupons” on the checkout screen to select which one to apply. Review the coupons for type, minimum purchase price, maximum discount, and expiration date.
Selling fees on Mercari
Listing an item is always free on Mercari. The selling fee is just 10% of the listing price. This includes the cost of processing payment from the buyer. Your earnings equal the listing price minus the selling fee and shipping (if you selected to offer free shipping).Best Offer lets you offer the seller a price you're willing to pay on Buy It Now items. The seller decides whether to accept, reject, or counter your offer. Making your best offer is a great way to buy the item you've been looking for at a bargain price.
This option is only available when the seller pays for shipping and for items that are not longer 45”. You may incur an additional handling fee up to $90 for any package over 45”. Tip: When you pay for shipping (whether it's a prepaid label or you ship on your own), we mark your item with a Free Shipping icon.
