Tassimo not brewing full cup / Tassimo only makes half cupThis could be caused by too much limescale and thus you need to follow the steps above to descale your coffee machine. A good way to spot this, other than the red light, is when you see that the overflow which is behind the splash back is leaking.
Follow the following steps to get you started:
- Place the Service T DISC in the brew head.
- Fill the water tank with fresh water and press the button.
- Your machine will now start a short cleaning cycle. When finished, your TASSIMO is ready for use.
A traditional cappuccino has an even distribution of espresso, steamed milk, and foamed milk. A latte has way more steamed milk and a light layer of foam. A cappuccino is distinctly layered, while in a latte the espresso and steamed milk are blended together.

What are the ingredients for a cappuccino?
Double espresso
Steamed milk foam
Hot milk
The proportions are about: 1/3 espresso and 2/3 milk. The steamed milk must have a micro foam layer, but must not have a stiff foam layer like you use for a latte or cappuccino.
A Cappuccino Café Latte will cost between ₹ 95 and ₹ 135, depending on the size, while iced coffee and blended beverages will cost ₹ 115-Rs. 200. A café latte at Café Coffee Day costs between ₹ 78 and ₹ 85, while cold coffee and beverages cost between ₹ 100 and ₹ 133.
You can use any t-disc in any Tassimo coffee maker, as all pods work in any of the home Tassimo machines, they all make the same drinks. However, you cannot use the pods from a commercial Tassimo machine in a domestic coffee maker, they are not compatible.
If a capsule contains milk, such as for a Tassimo latte, the milk will be UHT (ultra heat treated) so will last a very long time if kept in a sealed container.
Hot Chocolate and coffees have a 12 month shelf life, milk products have a 9 months, and teas have a 18 months.

Machines such as the Tassimo have separate coffee and milk pods (typically containing UHT milk), although you can always leave out the milk pod and add your own fresh milk (or frothed milk, if you're making a cappuccino) later.

The red cup light on my TASSIMO machine lights upIf your coffee machine sounds like preparing your drink, but nothing is in your cup, there is probably something with your water tank. If stuck, clean the water tank and free the float. Try if your TASSIMO will prepare your drink now.

1) There is too much air on the K-cup. This is the most common cause of an exploding K-cup. The concern is that the plastic cartridge — or “T Disc” — will explode, spewing hot liquid and coffee grounds or tea leaves onto someone using the brewer or standing near it.
The Yellow Tassimo T-disk is needed to run the maintenance cycles of certain Tassimo machines. The T-disk has a barcode which communicates with the Tassimo machine. Step 1.
The method is simply, run your vinegar-water mix through your coffee maker just as you would regular water. Run the vinegar-water mix to make a full pot of coffee or cup of coffee, depending on your brewer. Do this once, and then run the brewer two more times with regular water to rinse out any residual vinegar.
My advice to you would be to wait until the coffe has dispensed and then press and hold the button on the tassimo. This will top up the water through the pod and allow you to get the mug full to the desired level.
This can vary a lot but going by the instructions on packaging, instant coffee generally has the lowest average caffeine content at 50mg whilst Tassimo T discs have the highest at 135mg regardless of whether it is a latte, cappuccino or espresso.
