There is no entrance fee! You pay for extras like 20 euros for a reindeer ride but otherwise everything free to walk around and to see santa! over a year ago. There is absolutely no charge into Santa Village, or to visit Santa himself.
A trip to Lapland is certainly not cheap. The airline tickets are costly, the hotels are not cheap and well the activities really increase your spendings. Scandinavia is not a cheap destination, but in our opinion, Finland was not too bad. We expected that the costs for food and drinks would be higher.

Flying to Finnish LaplandThere are a number of daily flights from Helsinki with flight times that vary between 1–1,5 hours, just enough time for a cup of coffee and a quick bite.
During January and February, there is almost always snow in northern and eastern Finland. Even if there's little snow in Helsinki, there's often up to a metre or more on the skiing slopes of Lapland. The snow season in northern Finland begins in November and lasts at least until May.

The Recommended Road and Sea Route from UK to FinlandThe goal is to drive on the main motorways until you get to Stockholm, Sweden, then take a ferry to Finland. Once you land in Esbjerg, drive E20 toward Copenhagen. Instead of driving to the center of Copenhagen from E20, get on road E47 North to Helsingor, Denmark.
But especially if you have never experienced a nordic winter, then I would recommend Rovaniemi over Turku. It will be a full on three days with all the travelling, but if you are lucky and see the aurora, it's definitely worth it. Even if there's no chance of aurora, going to lapland is a magical experience.
The best time for Northern Lights is from October to March. Statistically, winterly spring and autumn are fantastic for seeing Auroras in Finland.
Every year, more than 150,000 guests from around the world visit the famous Ranua Wildlife Park, home of Finland's only polar bears, as well as wolverines, elk, otters, snow owls and other denizens of the Arctic. In winter, Ranua turns into a fairytale world of snow and ice.
The best time to visit Lapland for a snow-dusted getaway is between November and March. During these winter months, the landscapes are blanketed by the thickest coating of snow you'll see all year. And if you fancy taking the little ones to meet the big man in red, November and December are your best bets.
Lapland is well serviced by bus and train. Trains connect South to North Finland, being Rovaniemi and Kolari the two main railway destinations (Kemijarvi and Kemi also have stations). You can take a day or a night train from the south. You can travel in coach or in a sleeping-car compartment.
If you plan a trip to Finland, 7 days would be my minimum recommendation for you to experience everything that it has to offer.
