Regular, white vinegar consists of about 5% acetic acid and 95% water. On the other hand, cleaning vinegar has an acidity of 6%. That 1% more acidity makes it 20% stronger than white vinegar. Distilled vinegar is milder than white vinegar and will not be effective for cleaning.

When mixed together, bleach and vinegar produce toxic chlorine gas. Chlorine gas itself is greenish-yellow but, when diluted in the air, it's invisible.
To clean your washing machine with bleach, simply add 60ml of neat bleach to your detergent drawer then run your machine on a hot cycle, with an extra rinse cycle to make sure all the bleach is flushed out. Citric acid measures pH 2.2 making it more acetic than vinegar.
The Dangers of a Dirty Front Loading Washing Machine
