On Android, media files are automatically saved in your WhatsApp/Media/folder. If you have Internal Storage, the WhatsApp folder is located in your Internal Storage. If you do not have internal storage, the folder will be on your SD Card or External SD Card.
This means that if you've disabled the Media visibility feature, the media will not appear in your gallery app, though you'll be able to view all the photos and videos you've received from your WhatsApp contacts directly within WhatsApp. By default, the Media visibility feature is enabled on the WhatsApp beta version.
On an Android phone: Go to WhatsApp > Menu (the three dots on the upper right corner) > Settings > Account > Privacy > Last Seen. There you can change the setting so that this information is available to everyone, only to people in your contacts list, or to nobody at all.
For that, you need to open the App drawer and then open File Manager. After that, you can click on the dotted menus and select settings. Then enable the Option Show Hidden Files. The default File Explorer will show you the hidden files.
To disable the feature, open the WhatsApp app and go to the “Settings†tab. Here, select the “Chats†option. From this screen, tap on the toggle next to “Save to Camera Roll†to turn off the auto-saving feature.
How to change your WhatsApp privacy settings
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Tap the gear "Settings" icon in the bottom menu.
- Tap "Account."
- Choose "Privacy."
- Tap on the privacy setting you want to change, including Last Seen, Profile Photo, About, Groups, and My Status.

WhatsApp has no default option to track down who viewed my WhatsApp profile. A few WhatsApp profile viewer apps are available in the market and claiming they can check who visited my WhatsApp profile, but sadly, none of them is useful.
Navigate to your SD card in your phone's file manager. This is where your WhatsApp data will be stored. To delete files, you need to open the folder in which you have unwanted data. You will need to click each piece of data to delete it.
1.Hide WhatsApp Photos and Videos in Gallery on Android Phone

Deleting from the File Manager. You can open the native file manager app on your Android, if you don't have a file manager, download Solid explore from the Google Play Store, it's free and has no ads. Just select the Whatsapp Business folder, instead of the WhatsApp folder in the file manager.
It is on the right of the “Archived†text. Tap again on “Archive settings.†Step 3: Disable the “Keep Chats Archived†option. After disabling it, the Archived box will disappear from the top of the screen.

Select Settings to open the application options. Switch to the Chats group of settings. There you find "Media visibility". Toggle the option to turn it off (it is enabled by default).
Be sure that Media visibility is enabled: Open WhatsApp > Tap More options > Settings > Chats > Turn on Media visibility.
On iOS, you can enable this option by going to the WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Save to Camera Roll.
Pictures that you receive on WhatsApp are automatically stored in your phone's Photo roll or gallery, exposing them to anyone who browses photos on your phone. To restrict it on an iPhone, you can go into the phone's Settings menu, then tap 'Privacy', 'Photos', and deselect WhatsApp.
How to manage storage on WhatsApp (Android)
- Open the WhatsApp app.
- Tap on the three-dotted menu situated in the top right corner.
- Seelct the Settings option.
- Once you are on the Settings menu, select the Storage and Data option.
Enable Media Visibility SettingIf you are using an Android phone, your media visibility setting may be one reason why WhatsApp images and videos are not showing in Gallery. Once you download a photo or video from WhatsApp, it should be visible in your Gallery.
By default, on both Android and iOS, WhatsApp will automatically download and save images to your phone. The platform does this so it can provide “quick access to your latest photosâ€. While on iOS through the same chats menu, selecting the 'Save to camera roll' option will let you turn it off.
