You can learn how to get to your drafts on your Droid smartphone by following a few steps.
- Open the Gmail application on your Droid.
- Press the menu button, then tap "Go to labels."
- Scroll down, then tap the "Drafts" label. Your Gmail drafts are displayed on this screen.
- Tap on a draft to continue typing your email.
Outlook: Drafts
- Finding a Draft. To access drafts of unsent messages, navigate to the Drafts folder in the navigation pane.
- Saving a Draft. You can also save a draft of a message from the message window by going to File > Save or pressing [Ctrl] + [S].
- Sending a Draft.
Click on the “Saved” and “Deleted” folders found in the vertical navigation bar at the left of your email account page. Select the saved or deleted email that you wish to restore, and click on “Move.” Scroll down to and select “Inbox” to restore the saved or deleted email back to your inbox.
How to quickly access draft emails on the iPhone and iPad
- Launch the Mail app from the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.
- In the lower right hand corner, hold down on the Compose button. This will bring up the drafted emails.
- Simply tap on the draft you'd like to finish writing and you can fire away the email as soon as you're done. That's all there is to it.
Deleted Drafts cannot be recovered. They do not go to the Trash can for 30 days like deleted emails, so there's nowhere to recover them from.
Part 5: How to Recover Draft Text Messages on iPhone with iTunes
- Simply connect the iPhone to the computer and then launch iTunes.
- At the top left corner, there is an iPhone icon.
- You can see Settings in the left sidebar.
- Choose the most recent backup and click on "Recover".
Save a draft of a message that you want to finish laterYou can force a draft to save at any time by clicking the Save button in the top left menu bar of the email message or click File > Save.
In Outlook, select the “File” menu, then choose “Options“. Select “Mail” on the left pane. Check the “Automatically save items that have not been sent after this many minutes:” box to enable saving to the Drafts folder. Uncheck it to disable it.
An updated draft will be available in your drafts folder until the message is sent. If you choose not to send the message and would like to delete the copy from your Drafts folder, simply the select it in the Drafts folder and then click on the trash can icon to move the draft to the trash.
A copy is placed in the 'Drafts' folder. If you exit the 'Write' window and do not choose to save when prompted then all copies are deleted from drafts and you will lose that partially composed email. Saving as a draft allows you to return to that saved draft email, click on 'Edit' and complete the email.
If you try to create a folder in your IMAP account, but the folder says “(This computer only)” next to it in Outlook, that usually means there's something about the name of the folder that prevents Outlook from keeping it on the server.
Click "Browse" to locate the Drafts folder. The folders will be stored where the Outlook files are located, which is usually on the C-drive, unless you have manually stored them elsewhere. The location is the location you chose when you were installing Outlook.
The folder can be configured to show up, but only local items will be displayed. In order to view the Drafts folder, open Mail > tap Exchange > Mailboxes > Edit > See if Drafts (Exchange) is in the list and tap it to select it to be displayed. If it is not visible tap Add Mailbox > Exchange > Drafts.
In Mail, in the Folder Pane (Folder Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that contains folders for each view, such as Mail or Calendar. Click a folder to show the items in the folder. Formerly the Navigation Pane in earlier releases.), click Drafts, and then double-click the message.

Android
- From the inbox, press your menu button. Click Settings, then Account Settings.
- Click on Folders.
- You can re-map the indicated folder by clicking on it. You will receive a list of the folders available.
- Select the Sent folder. Request a Quote.
If you're still not seeing them, try these steps: Tap Settings > Passwords & Accounts > Your BTI Account > tap to disable Mail. Wait a moment then tap to enable the account again. Check Mail for the missing folders.
If you want to keep your mailbox in sync across multiple devices, choose the IMAP method. When you check mail with your computer or other gadgets, those devices do not get the deleted messages, but they may download newer ones — which then get deleted from the server, making your mailboxes out of sync.
The iOS Mail app does not save messages to the Drafts folder or the IMAP server automatically. The out-of-the-way message draft is saved locally on the device. If you close and reopen iOS Mail or restart the device, the message will still be there, but you could also lose it if the device has a critical error.
Highlight your email account and select Change. Choose the More Settings option in the Internet E-mail Settings. Select the Sent Items tab and choose the Save sent items in the following folder on the server option. Next, highlight the Sent items folder you wish to sync.
If you're adding another account, tap Accounts > Add Account.
- Enter your address. Enter your email address, then tap Next.
- Connect to your Exchange Server. After you enter your email address, choose Sign In or Configure Manually.
- Sync your content. You can sync Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, and Notes.
Sign in to Outlook.com on a computer. > View all Outlook settings > General > Mobile devices. In the list of connected mobile devices, select your phone, and then select Remove. Restart your mobile device after a few seconds, and then sync your mailbox again.
I want to set up an IMAP or POP account.
- In Outlook for iOS, go to Settings > Add Account > Add Email Account.
- Enter email address. Tap Add Account.
- If you see the Select your email provider screen, choose IMAP.
- Enter your password and toggle on Use Advanced Settings.
- Enter the server setting information needed.
To fix this, simply open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone. Click the icon that generates for your device and click Info. You will see an option to Sync Calendars, and you should enable this option and then and select to sync with Microsoft Outlook.
Clear the Cache and Data for Your Email AppLike all apps on your device, your email app saves data and cache files on your phone. While these files don't normally cause any issues, it's worth clearing them to see if that fixes the email sync issue on your Android device. Tap on Clear Cache to remove cached data.
Sync Email with Google
- Log in to your Gmail account (using this link or whichever URL you normally use if you have a Google Apps account with a custom domain).
- From the gear pop-up menu, choose Settings, and then click Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
- In the IMAP Access section, make sure Enable IMAP is selected.
