Edit in iMovie on iPhone or iPad
- With your project open, tap the video clip or photo in the timeline. A yellow highlight appears around the selected clip.

- Change the font: Click the Font pop-up menu and choose a font.
- Change the size of the text: Click the Size pop-up menu, to the right of the Font pop-up menu, and choose a font size.
- Change the alignment of the text: Click one of the text alignment buttons.
In order to place another title in a large clip, you need to right click and select "Split Clip", alternatively, you can add all the titles one after another in reverse order from the start, and move them down. You can't add a title at the begining, move another 5 minutes into a clip and add another title.
In some versions of iMovie, you must click on the 'Title' tab towards the right-middle of the screen. Then, select the 'Credits' option.
Then, in the toolbar at the top of your iMovie screen, click on the icon that looks like overlapping squares. Select Picture in Picture in the selection box. Your text will pop up on your preview screen. There you can drag the text and place it anywhere in the clip that you want.

- Open iMovie and choose New project.
- Import your video.
- Drag your video to the filmstrip area.
- Click on Titles and choose the style called Lower.
- Type in the text of about 5 seconds of video and adjust the Text duration time accordingly.
Grab the clip to the right of where you want the space and simply slide it over a bit. Switch back to the clip viewer and you will find you now have a nice black clip. Double click on the clip and you can change the duration to anything you want as well as the color if you wish.
