Turn printing on or off for your phone
Open your phone's Settings app. Printing. If you don't see "Connection preferences," tap Printing. Tap a print service, like Cloud Print.How to print a local file from your Android phone
- Open the file you'd like to print.
- Tap the menu button in the top right of your screen.
- Tap Print.
- Tap the drop-down arrow.
- Tap the printer you'd like to print from.
- Tap the print button.
Adding a printer to Google Cloud Print
- Open the Settings app on your Android phone and type “Printing” in the search box.
- Tap on Cloud Print.
- Tap the menu button on the top right-hand corner and select Add printer.
- Cloud Print will automatically search for printers connected to your Wi-Fi network.
From Android, you can print from a wi-fi direct printer such as HP Laserjet Pro M277dw or any HP printer that has this feature. All you need is to update or install to your Android device the HP Print Service Plugin through Google Playstore. Enable the app to search for any HP wireless nearby.
The Android OS doesn't yet provide native support for printing. Nearby mode prints to select Bluetooth- and Wi-Fi-connected printers straight from the phone. You can install the mobile app directly to your phone, choose your printer, and print.
Scanning from a phone
As you may have noticed, your smartphone comes with a camera attached, which can double up as a scanner. Several apps will do the job for you, or you can snap a picture using your phone's default camera app and store your scan as an image somewhere.What additional print settings does the Samsung Print Plugin support?
- On your Android device, tap Settings .
- Tap More, More networks, More settings, or NFC and sharing, and then tap Print or Printing.
- Tap Samsung Print Service Plugin, and then tap More.
- Tap Printing Settings.
Go to settings on your Android device, select printers, and enable the Epson plug-in. Connect your Android device to the same wireless network as your product. Now you are ready to print. From an Android application such as Chrome or Gmail, tap the menu icon and print whatever is on the screen.
How to Print from Your Android to a Bluetooth Printer
- View the document, web page, or image you want to print.
- Touch the Share icon.
- Choose Bluetooth.
- Choose your Bluetooth printer from the list of items on the Bluetooth screen.
- If a prompt appears on the printer, confirm that your phone is printing a document.
Wi-Fi Direct (also known as peer-to-peer or P2P) allows your application to quickly find and interact with nearby devices, at a range beyond the capabilities of Bluetooth. The Wi-Fi peer-to-peer (P2P) APIs allow applications to connect to nearby devices without needing to connect to a network or hotspot.
Here's what you do to get printer access without a true network.
- Open your Settings app from your Home screen.
- Tap Wi-Fi.
- Under Choose a Network tap your printer name.
- Tap Join This Network.
You can, however, access a printer from your Android tablet by installing a printing application. You can choose to install a printer app that is specific to your model of printer, like the HP ePrint app. You can select an app that will print directly to your device via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, like the PrinterShare app.
Connect one end of a USB cable to the USB port on the rear of the printer and the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the OTG cable. Plug the micro-USB connector of the OTG cable into the micro-USB port on your Android device. An HP Print Service Plugin window displays on the Android device.
Android
- Make sure your Android device is connected to the same wireless network that you want to connect your printer to.
- Go to 123.hp.com from a browser on your phone or tablet and install the HP Smart app.
- Turn on the printer.
- Prepare the printer for a wireless network connection.
- Obtain the current IP address of the printer.
- Login using the username: epson and password: epson.
- From the left, click TCP/IP and set Get IP Address to Manual.
- Enter the printer's IP in the IP Address field and click Submit at the bottom of the page.
- Click Reset on the next screen.
From your camera roll, simply select the photo(s) to print, tap the printer icon, then select the AirPrint printer and number of copies required. Google Cloud Print is another way you can print images directly from your phone (or any other Wi-Fi enabled device) to your printer, via a secure internet connection.

Find IP address of a network printer
- Start -> Printers and Faxes, or Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes.
- Right-click the printer name, and left-click Properties.
- Click the Ports tab, and widen the first column which displays IP address of the printers.
"Epson E-Web Print" is wireless printing, directly to the wifi in the printer. Been using Epson printers and scanners since 2000.
Here's how:
- Turn your Epson printer on.
- Press the Home button on the printer's control panel.
- Use the arrow button to select Wi-Fi Setup.
- Press OK until you see the selection.
- After it's searching, choose the network name on the screen.
- Enter your network password.
- Wait for this screen then press OK.
Enter the printer's email address and send an email. You can check the printer's email address using one of the following methods. On the information sheet printed when you completed the setup for Epson Connect. On the Printer List on the User Page.
What to Do When Your Printer Won't Print a Document
- Check Your Printer's Error Lights.
- Clear the Printer Queue.
- Solidify the Connection.
- Ensure You Have the Right Printer.
- Install the Drivers and Software.
- Add Printer.
- Check that Paper Is Installed (Not Jammed)
- Fiddle with the Ink Cartridges.
Go to Settings on your Android device, select Printing, and enable the Epson plug-in. Connect your Android device to the same wireless network as your product. Now you are ready to print. From an Android application such as Chrome or Gmail, tap the menu icon and print whatever is on the screen.
If your printer doesn't appear in the list of devices in Printers & Scanners preferences, click at the bottom of the list, then choose the command to add a printer or scanner. If you still can't print, and your printer is connected via Wi-Fi: Restart your Wi-Fi router. Then restart your printer.
The steps to factory reset the printer by this method are:
- Turn off the printer using the Power button.
- Use a pin to press and hold the Reset button at the back of the printer.
- Turn on the printer but keep the Reset button pressed for at least 5 seconds.
- Release the Reset button after a warning page is printed.
Problems Printing From a Computer. Make sure the USB cable is connected securely at both ends and meets the requirements. Run a printer check. Then right-click EPSON WorkForce 1100 Series, select See what's printing, right-click the stalled print job, and click Cancel and then Yes.
If you have an Epson printer and your prints are coming out faint, incomplete, or streaked with lines, chances are you have a clogged nozzle–a common problem many users have with Epson printers. It's unavoidable that print heads clog over time as small amounts of ink residue dry up and collect in the nozzles.

- Set your printer near your computer.
- Turn on your printer.
- With you computer turned on and unlocked, plug the printer into your computer using a USB cable.
- Open Start.
- Click Settings.
- Click Devices.
- Click Printers & scanners.
- Click Add a printer or scanner.
