Launch Virtual DJ software, then click Local Music on the left panel to add Spotify music from local drive. Or you can drag & drop music to Virtual DJ.
Next, you need to hit the preferences and go to Bluetooth Controllers, tapping on the DDJ-200 to get the two devices talking to each other. To use Spotify, you hit the flashing music icon on either deck, and select Spotify from your options as a source.
Open the Rekordbox. Make sure the Collection icon is highlighted on the left side. Then open the local folder of Spotify music. Directly drag and drop the song into the track window that is on the bottom of the Rekordbox.
To record:
- Setup your DJ equipment like you would normally and launch Serato DJ Pro.
- Open the REC tab in Serato DJ Pro.
- Set the record input source in the recording panel to "mix".
- Test that your record levels aren't clipping (you can use the Gain knob to adjust this level).
djay currently has no way to support offline playlists but we are aware of this request and we'll be sure to keep an eye out. "Please note that due to “sandboxing”, a security feature on iOS, apps have absolutely no access to each other's workspace.
Playing tunes via streaming services such as Spotify or Apple Music in a restaurant, cafe, retail store or any commercial business is illegal. So despite paying monthly fees for ad-free music, there's simply no legal way to use Spotify in a commercial space, and no business is exempt.
On Android, tap Home and the gear icon on the top right, then toggle Offline mode to on. On iOS tap Home > [gear icon] > Playback > Offline.
You can record by selecting the red Recording button and clicking “Start New Recording”. Please note that this feature is disabled once Spotify is being used. Your Recordings are listed by the pop-up appearing when clicking on the red Recording button.
Algoriddim | Does Apple Music work with djay? Unfortunately there is no way for 3rd-party DJ style apps such as djay to play songs from Apple Music, Apple's music streaming service. This also applies when songs are downloaded onto your device from Apple Music, as the downloaded files will be DRM-protected.

Option 1: Load Spotify Music into Rekordbox from Hard Drive
- Locate your Spotify music folders or Spotify music files you want to import into Rekordbox.
- Make sure the 'Collection' icon to the left of the playlist tree is highlighted, then drag Spotify songs onto the track window at the bottom of the Rekordbox screen.

The Spotify integration will also adopt the existing playlists, starred tracks, and inbox for real-time song requests to the DJ in the app from Spotify, as well as search, top lists, and the ability to browse by genres or moods. The app can toggle between Spotify songs and iTunes songs, as well as mix tracks from both.
