How do I browse the Internet on my TCL Android TV?
- Turn on the TV.
- On your remote control, press the HOME button.
- Select Apps.
- Select the Google Play store app.
- In the search window, use web browser or browser to locate an app that will meet your needs.
1 Add an App to Roku
- Press the Home button on the remote.
- Go to Streaming Channels.
- Find the app you wish to add. There are two ways to do it:
- Select the app once you found it and then select Add channel.
- Wait for the app to get added.
- You'll get a confirmation message when the app was added. Select OK to finish.

- Turn on your TCL Smart Tv & Visit My Apps.
- Click Google Playstore & Open it.
- Type 'Google Chrome' & Install it.
- After downloading and Installation, hit the Open button to launch the application.

As a general rule when Roku Apps aren't working properly you need to restart your Roku device by turning it off for 5 minutes and turning it on again. If that doesn't work you should remove the channel and reinstall it again.
While you're casting your Android device, you'll see a status that Smart View is on in your Android notifications. Open your favorite browser app and start browsing. Your mobile web browser will be displayed on the TV via your Roku device. Now you can display anything from the web browser that you want on your TV.
As Roku does not have a native web browser of its own, you can either use third-party web browsers that are mentioned above or use screen mirroring to cast the browser.
Wireless Connection Setup
- Press on your remote to open the main screen.
- Scroll down and select Settings.
- Press the right arrow button and select Network.
- Press the right arrow button and select Wireless.
- Your TCL Roku TV will start scanning for available wireless network.
To begin mirroring on a stock Android device, go to Settings, click Display, followed by Cast Screen. Then tap the Menu button in the top right corner of the screen and check the Enable Wireless Display box. Your Roku should now appear in the Cast Screen section.

Note for Android™ 8.0 and some Android 9 models: If Google Play Store is not in the Apps category, select Apps and then select Google Play Store or Get more apps. You will then be taken to Google's applications store: Google Play, where you can browse for applications, and download and install them on your TV.
It's just hidden under the bottom of the TV in the center. Reach right under the TCL logo at the bottom of the TV: The middle button turns the set on. Pressing the middle button again allows navigation through different settings.
