If you lose, or can't get hold of a copy of your IOSH Managing Safely certificate, you can get it reissued by speaking to your training provider or IOSH. If you're an employer, use IOSH's training certificate tracker to cross-check whether your employee has the certificate.

The popular IOSH Working and IOSH Managing Safely courses are perfect if your primary role is not health and safety; they also apply to any industry. Graduate membership (Grad IOSH) is open to those who have completed an IOSH-accredited degree-level qualification. Chartered membership (CMIOSH) is recognised as the pinnacle of the health and safety profession.
Your IOSH Membership ID number will have 8 characters – a random mix of letters and numbers. If you've just joined, your ID number should be in the Welcome pack we sent you. Otherwise, we'll have sent you a later with your ID number in it.
In rare cases, it is possible to pass each IOSH Managing Safely assessment with 60% but still fail the course. In this situation, the best thing to do is resit the practical project as this can easily be amended to get extra points.
IOSH Managing SafelyThis qualification provides an understanding of safety and health in a business context.
IOSH Working Safely is a short course for staff at all levels and provides a basic understanding of their health and safety responsibilities at work. IOSH Managing Safely is for employees who have line management responsibilities for health and safety.
A validity period of three years from the date of completion. An indication that the certificates has been issued for the purposes of complying with the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.
The short answer is that your NEBOSH and IOSH qualifications never expire. Once you have passed the exam or assessment, your certificate is valid for life. However, the knowledge you gain on the course is a different matter.

The NEBOSH International General Certificate is a foundation level qualification. It teaches you everything you need to know and do to manage general workplace health and safety issues in any type of organisation.
How long does it take? The National General Certificate will involve a minimum of 68 taught hours and approximately 40 hours of private study and background reading. It is possible for fast track learners to complete the qualification in 10 working days.
How to become an IOSH member. We welcome new members to IOSH as Affiliate Members at a fee of £191 (£133 membership fee plus £58 joining fee) for one year. Once you've joined as an Affiliate Member we'll support you in transferring to the membership category which reflects your knowledge, qualifications and experience.

What is IPD? IPD is the one-off assessment process that Graduate Members need to go through in order to become a Chartered Member. By passing the assessment, you demonstrate your competence, knowledge, skills and experience. Its internationally recognised that IOSH Chartered Members are at the top of their profession.

After completing the IOSH Managing Safely course, the next step for many looking to build on their health and safety qualifications would be a NEBOSH certificate. NEBOSH qualifications offer more in-depth health and safety knowledge for managers and supervisors.
To become a Technical member of IOSH, you need to have at least a level 3 qualification. Once a Technical member post-nominal letters TechIOSH can be used after your name. Graduate (Grad IOSH): Once a Technical member post-nominal letters GradIOSH can be used after your name.
Holders of the following NEBOSH qualifications are entitled to Associate Membership (AIOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH). These qualifications also meet the academic requirements for Technical Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH.
