The NRL formed in the aftermath of the 1990s' Super League war as a joint partnership between the Australian governing body, the Australian Rugby League (ARL) and media giant News Corporation-controlled Super League, after both organisations ran premierships parallel to each other in 1997.

The most common injuries are superficial facial injuries and muscle sprains. Knees suffer and shoulders receive a lot of long term damage. Rotator syndrome is common long term for Rugby players. Despite the game looking brutal, head injuries and concussions are not common compared to other contact sports.
The dummy half or acting half back is the player who stands behind the play-the-ball and collects the ball, before passing, running or kicking the ball. The hooker has become almost synonymous with the dummy half role.
The sides exchange ends of the field after the half-time break. Stoppages for injury or to allow the referee to take disciplinary action do not count as part of the playing time, so that the elapsed time is usually longer than 80 minutes.

A try is the most exciting way of scoring in rugby union.
They are worth five points - the maximum number of points you can score in one go in rugby union. If a draw occurs in the pool stages, the game ends and both teams are awarded two points - as well as any bonus points they have earned from scoring four or more tries.
Baseball, tennis, basketball, some football leagues do not allow ties. Baseball can't, except in spring training. In that case, it ends in a tie after 10 innings if the score is still tied. Assuming a single game rather than over a number of frames/legs then snooker, pool and darts would fit.
