The Pixel 3 XL, like its forebears, uses an AMOLED screen, whose pixels often turn white after 10 or so seconds and leave a permanent ghost. The Pixel 3 XL mostly passes the scratch test too. Mostly. The front Gorilla Glass is, as you'd expect, impervious to anything below a level 6 Mohs scale pick.

One cost-cutting measure Google opted for with the Pixel 3a is the glass over the display. Most people are familiar with Gorilla Glass and it's a standard through the industry. The Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a both use something called DragonTrail glass according to Android Police.
The Otterbox Alpha Glass provides adequate protection for my iPhone 8 Plus. The only thing I didn't like about it was the fact that I dropped my phone from about 2.5-3 feet & it landed on a hard surface (I have an otterbox case around my phone too), & the otterbox alpha glass screen protector cracked across the front.
Hold the screen protector on the left side, in the orientation that it will be installed on the device. Take two pieces of scotch tape about an inch long, and place them on the right side of the screen protector, with half of it on and the other half sticking off the edge.
The good The Pixel 4 XL has a big screen that refreshes 90 times a second, so everything looks real smooth. It also takes outstanding photos, and its face unlock is the fastest we've seen. The bad The phone is expensive, doesn't come with earbuds and has no expandable storage option.
1. Google Pixel 4a. You might be surprised to find Google's midrange Pixel, the Pixel 4a, at the top of our list of the best Android phones. But at just $349, the Pixel 4a is a remarkably complete smartphone, the likes of which we've never before seen at this price.
There's definitely no fingerprint sensor, in case you were wondering: Speaking of biometrics, Face Unlock is the only biometric security option available on the Pixel 4 XL. That's right, this phone does not have a fingerprint reader. There isn't any in-screen fingerprint sensor, or even a conventional capacitive one.
A screen protector is the best Day One accessory you could invest in for the Pixel 4. No matter how careful you are, smartphone screens invariably pick up micro-abrasions from daily use and abuse, so let a slab of tempered glass or film take the abuse instead.
The larger of the two Pixel 4 phones, the Google Pixel 4 XL boasts a 3,700mAh battery and a 6.3-inch OLED display. The display's 90Hz refresh rate makes navigation extremely smooth. There's also a Soli radar for Motion Sense and Face Unlock. We were unable to load Disqus.
Google designs the latest Pixel and has the phone manufactured in China. But prior to that agreement being reached, Google decided to move production of the Pixels to an old Nokia phone factory in Northern Vietnam.
Pixel devices usually have less battery capacity than other flagships, too, and less RAM. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy A50 — a 2019 phone that costs $350, or less than half of a Pixel 4 — comes with 64GB of storage. That device even has a microSD slot so you can add more if you need it, something the Pixel 4 lacks.
Pixel 5, 4, 3, and 2 phones are designed to be water-resistant. But normal wear and tear can reduce water-resistance.
Like the Pixel 3, Google's new Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL can charge wirelessly. That's because the Pixel 4 can charge wirelessly at full, 11-watt power using third-party Qi chargers that support the Extended Power Profile standard (or EPP, for short).
Both phones have a base of 64GB of storage and no microSD card slot, though the Pixel 3 XL is also offered in a 128GB model. As for overall size, the Pixel 3a XL is a bit thicker than the Pixel 3 XL, allowing for more battery space. The 3a XL has a 3,700mAh cell while the Pixel 3 XL has a 3,430mAh cell.
The Pixel 3a and 3a XL are only available in a 64 GB model, with no microSD slot, while the Pixel 3 and 3 XL have a 128 GB model (but still no microSD slot.) Google Photos backups support only "High Quality" but not "Original Quality" without extra storage fees.
Hello old friend. According to Google, “Since Pixel 3a has compatibility with 3.5mm analog audio, USB-C digital audio and wireless Bluetooth 5.0, we feel like this gives users the flexibility to choose the headphones that are best suited to their individual needs.”
Simply put, the Pixel 3 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, a flagship-class Android processor (even if it is last year's model). The Pixel 3A has a Snapdragon 670 chipset — it's good, but it's not the best, and the Pixel 3 will be faster to launch apps, load webpages, and process more effect-laden pictures.
The good The Pixel 3A is cheaper than the original Pixel 3 but packs the same grade-A camera that shoots great in low light. It can also record time-lapse videos and has a headphone jack. The bad The phone isn't water resistant and doesn't have wireless charging.

Try to dry the exterior with a paper towelUse the paper towel to dry out every component. Just make sure you don't mess with the phone too much. Gently dry everything out without moving things around too much.
With quick charging, the phones can get up to seven hours of battery life with a 15-minute charge. One thing you won't find on the Pixel 3a and 3a XL is wireless charging. If you want that, you'll need to step up to the regular Pixel 3's.
If size matters to you, go with the Pixel 3a XL. Not only do you get a bigger 6-inch display, you also get a bigger 3,7000mAh battery that should help your phone last longer.
But today it has been confirmed that Google will support its Pixel 3 phones until 2021 – and also the Pixel 3a range too. That's way beyond Android 10.
If you want a very clean look for your Pixel 3a but don't want it to completely fade into the background the way Just Black has a tendency of doing, Clearly White is a solid choice. The two-tone white finish looks really nice and adds a level of visual interest without being as flashy as Purple-ish.
