Printing in OneNote: Instructions
- To print notebook page content directly, without previewing it, select a page or page group.
- Then click the “File” tab in the Ribbon to enter the Backstage View.
- Click “Print” in the menu at the left side of the screen.
- Then click the “Print” button that appears to the right.
Print a page of your notes in OneNote for Windows
- From the page you want to print, choose File > Print > Print.
- Set the options for your printer and choose Print.
1.Change the page orientation from portrait to landscape
- Open OneNote and the notebook or note you want to print.
- Click Print in the top right corner.
- Under the Orientation, select Landscape and try printing the document.

OneNote for Windows 10
It comes pre-installed with every version of Windows 10 and it can also be downloaded for free from the Microsoft Store. To use OneNote for Windows 10, click the Start button, type onenote on your keyboard, and then click OneNote in the search results.Microsoft has announced that OneNote 2016 will be discontinued in the future. They want to have their users switch to a stripped-down version of OneNote which is called OneNote for Windows 10. However, there will be a migration cost for all users of OneNote 2016.
The notebook for Mac OneNote is saved on onedrive.com. The caching mechanism is used locally. New, modified notes are saved in the cache file before being synchronized to onedrive.com to store.
Value for Money: OneNote's Free Version Is Generous, Evernote Has a High Price Tag. It's hard to deny that OneNote offers better value for the money than Evernote. The free version of OneNote is more generous with storage and features than the free version of Evernote.
Apple Notes is only available on Apple's platforms. You can find it on iOS, macOS, watchOS, and iMessage. On the other hand, Microsoft offers OneNote on every platform you can think of. OneNote is available on iOS, Android, Mac, Windows, Android Wear, Apple Watch, and the web.
Microsoft will not offer OneNote as an integral part of Office 2019. In future, anyone looking to use a local desktop version of OneNote in combination with Office 2019 will have to revert to – and install – the Windows 10 UWP version, which is available from the Windows 10 Store.
OneNote is a built in app, with Windows 10. You would be able to use the OneNote app without purchasing office 365 subscription. You are prompted to enter the subscription/license for OneNote is because, you might be clicking on OneNote desktop icon, which is a part of Office suite.
Instead, OneNote for Windows 10, the UWP app, will be included in both Office 365 and Office 2019. OneNote for Mac, Android, iOS, and the web are unaffected. Back in February 2015, Microsoft made OneNote for Windows completely free by removing all feature restrictions.
The Office 365 package includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. However, it also includes Outlook, Publisher, and Access.
OneNote uses OneDrive to sync all your notebooks on all of your devices, and you need a Microsoft account login to use OneDrive. But fortunately, you only need a free basic account.
Draw in Word for Mac. Open or create a Word document and then select the Draw tab from the toolbar at the top of the window. If the tools in the Draw tab are grayed out, it means you're using the wrong editing mode. To switch modes, select View > Print Layout from the menu bar at the top of the screen.

Insert sketches with Continuity Sketch on Mac
- On your Mac, position the cursor where you want to insert a sketch or markup.
- Choose File > Import from iPhone or iPad, then choose Add Sketch.
- On your iPhone or iPad, draw a sketch using your finger; on iPad, you can also use Apple Pencil.
- When you're ready, tap Done.
To use Trackpad Handwriting, you must add a Handwriting input source, then choose Handwriting from the Input menu in the menu bar. If your Mac has a Touch Bar, you can quickly open the Trackpad Handwriting window by adding the Handwriting button to the Control Strip.
You need to write with a stylus, this “ink” can be converted to searchable text via OneNote's Ink to Text feature. To handwrite notes using a stylus, click the Draw tab, click any of the color pens in the Tools group and start writing. Click Type on the Draw tab when you're done.
