Christianity had been preached in Armenia by two of Jesus' twelve apostles — Thaddaeus and Bartholomew — between 40-60 AD. Because of these two founding apostles, the Armenian Apostolic Church is considered to be the world's oldest national church.
It is considered to be the largest church in the Philippines and in Asia, standing 88.6 metres (291 ft) long and 48 metres (157 ft) wide.

The largest church in Asia was dedicated at Zunheboto town in Nagaland on Saturday. The nine-storey Sumi Baptist Church was built at a cost of Rs 36 crore.
It would surpass the current title holder for the world's tallest church spire: The 162-meter-tall Ulm Cathedral in southern Germany. St. Peter's Basilica in Rome will still have the tallest interior.
