How can I automatically transfer Audible content to my Apple
- Connect your device to your computer and open iTunes.
- Click on the device icon to the right of the selection menu, on the upper left side of iTunes.
- Check Sync only checked songs and videos.
- Click on Sync in the lower right corner.
- Click on audiobooks.

An Audible membership does not come free with Amazon Prime, but while it requires a separate subscription, Prime members do stand to get discounted pricing on membership. To sync audiobooks to iPhone:
- Connect your iPhone to your computer.

1. Audiobooks can help improve your comprehension and vocabulary. Hearing new words — independent of or in combination with reading them — can significantly help with comprehension and vocabulary, especially for kids and second-language learners.
In general, however, Audible is the cheaper of the two options. If you listen to less than one audiobook per month, Google's audiobooks are the cheaper option. If you listen to books steadily, but take a little longer than a month to finish a book, Audible is still the best option until you hit the rollover limit.
The critical difference, for me, between reading and listening is that reading is something you do, where listening is something that happens to you. Reading is an act of engagement. The words on the page aren't going to read themselves, which is something they literally do in an audiobook.

With the Android operating system you can check how much data the app was using both via wifi and a data connection. If you download the book over cellular it will take a lot of data. If you're listening to a book you already downloaded, the data usage is very minimal.
Once you download ebooks and audiobooks, you can read or listen to them without an internet connection.
It doesn't use much data. The high quality downloads on the app are about 30MB per hour of play time. Most data plans are in GB now, so to put that into perspective, that's about 33–35 hours per GB. If you're impatient, you can even start listening while the book downloads in the app.
