Get the OneNote app
- Tap Play Store.
- Search for Microsoft OneNote.
- Tap Install. The app appears on your home screen when it's done installing.
To share OneNote notebook via link, you have to click File > Share. Then click Get a sharing link. This is where you will find a way to share OneNote notebook through a link.

Sync a notebook in OneNote for Windows
- Click File > Info > View Sync Status.
- In the Shared Notebook Synchronization dialog box that opens, do either of the following: Click Sync All to sync all of your shared notebooks. Click Sync Now next to the specific notebook that you want to sync.
If a notebook will not sync, determine if the sync problem is with the OneNote desktop app or with the Microsoft server.
- Open the OneNote desktop app.
- Right-click the notebook and select Copy Link to Notebook.
- Open a web browser.
- Go to the Address bar, paste the link to the notebook, and press Enter.
OneNote for iPhone and iPad
- Tap App Store and type "Microsoft OneNote".
- Tap GET to download the app.
- Tap OneNote to open the app from your home screen.
- If you already have a Microsoft account, tap Sign In.
- Type in your work or school email, and then tap Next.
- Enter your password, and then tap Sign in.
Microsoft is continuing mainstream support for OneNote beyond October 2020. This means you can continue using it and expect to see new feature updates. OneNote support dates will align with Office 2019 support dates (October 10, 2023 for mainstream support and October 14, 2025 for extended support).
The scribble will make OneNote very good tool for notes. Now it's not well working in except the text inputs (system wide Scribble feature) like search

Select a drawing mode in Microsoft OneNote
- On the Draw tab, at the far right of the ribbon, tap the Drawing Mode icon.
- Next, do any of the following: Turn on the Draw with Touch option to enable drawing with your finger.
- On the Draw tab, tap the pen, color, and thickness you want, and then use your finger or stylus to draw on the page.
iPhone Your sticky notes appear with OneNote for iPhone. Open OneNote, and then on the bottom right, tap Sticky Notes. iPad Your sticky notes also appear with OneNote for iPad. Open OneNote, and then on the Home tab, tap the Sticky Notes icon on the far right.
Sadly, these handwriting recognition features are not available in the Android or iOS versions of OneNote yet. So in case you're taking handwritten notes on either of these apps, you'll need to wait till you get hold of a PC before you can convert them to text.
How to recover deleted notes on an iPhone
- Open the Notes App.
- Push the left (back) arrow in the top left corner, until you get to the Folders menu.
- Tap on "Recently Deleted."
- Click on "Edit" in the upper right corner.
- Dots should appear on the left of all items in Recently Deleted.
- Tap the dot next to the Note you wish to recover.
OneNote is very much a full-blown application. It lets you create simple or complex notes from scratch, organize them into searchable, browsable notebooks, and sync them among a variety of platforms, including Windows PCs, Macs, iPads and iPhones, Android devices and the web.
GoodNotes is a no-brainer if you're a frequent Apple Pencil user with money to spare. However, as a premium app ($7.99 for GoodNotes 5), it's quite expensive. And as an iOS-exclusive, you're out of luck as a Windows or Android user.
To do that, just select all text that you want to change font (just press CTRL+A) then change the font on Home tab, the same way you do on Microsoft Word. That's it! Now the font have changed. If you use Android, you will notice the notes you change the font size earlier will apply on OneNote in Android.
