In Australia, we only issue passports in less than two business days if there is a compassionate or compelling reason, such as the death or serious illness of an immediate family member or an unexpected need for urgent business travel.
Some countries don't allow travellers to enter on emergency passports. Because emergency passports don't have a chip, some countries that Australians can normally enter visa-free will require you to get a visa.

The price of a regular adult passport will move from $4,500 to $6,500 while the passport for a minor will move from $2,700 to $4000. There will be adjustment to other services which are outlined in the Table below.
In the Americas, Jamaicans can travel visa-free to 15 countries, including Caricom countries such as Belize, Guyana, and Suriname and Central American countries Nicaragua and Panama. Other countries not requiring visas include: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia,Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
Along with your application form you will be required to submit the following documents: Current Passport. Birth Certificate/Adoption Certificate or Jamaican Citizenship Certificate. Who can certify an application. The person certifying the application must be a citizen of Jamaica, who is not a family member of the applicant and has been personally acquainted with the applicant for a period of not less than 12 months.
The one-day service:You can get your passport the same day if you provide a completed application form, 2 photos and all your supporting documents. You can usually collect it 4 hours after your appointment.
You can apply for an emergency travel document if all the following apply:
- you're a British national.
- you're outside the UK.
- your passport has been lost, stolen, damaged, is full, has recently expired or is with HM Passport Office or a foreign embassy.
If you are flying solely within the UK, including Northern Ireland, you do not need a passport but we advise that you carry photographic identification with you when travelling, such as your passport or driving licence. All other travellers require a valid passport to travel between the two countries.
Pay the $60 expedite fee in addition to the regular application fees. Wear a cloth face covering while inside the passport agency. Note: you can schedule your appointment up to 2 weeks before your international travel but the date of your appointment must be within 3 business days of your international travel.
However, in the event of most emergencies, the embassy will not pay for a flight to get home. If an emergency evacuation is absolutely necessary, and no other means are available, then the U.S. government has the authority to evacuate their citizens to the nearest safe place, which is often not the United States.
Emergency United States passports are issued to those applicants who have immediate travel and cannot wait to receive a regular full-validity passport before traveling. Form DS-64, filled out but not yet signed if you are replacing a lost or stolen United States passport and have not already reported it online.
No, you can not. Even as a US citizen you are required to make an appointment to visit the consulate for non-emergency services.
You can also check in on your passport status by phone. Call 1-877-487-2778 or 1-888-874-7793 between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. ET Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and ask for your application status. For this, you'll also need your last name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your SSN.
