It is the first Tekken game to be Rated M (Mature) by ESRB.
Although violence is the main focus of this game, there is no blood. Some female characters wear revealing outfits and may be a bit too sexualized for younger players. Due to these qualities, Tekken 6 is recommended only for players ages 13 and up.
If you're more into gore and blood, Mortal Kombat is your game. If you want to focus more on improving your fighting skills, Tekken could be best. Mortal Kombat seems to be more invested in its story mode, but both games offer multiple enjoyable other modes for both beginner and professional players.
