Albert DusselAnne finds Mr. Dussel particularly difficult to deal with because he shares a room with her, and she suffers the brunt of his odd personal hygiene habits, pedantic lectures, and controlling tendencies. Mr. Dussel's wife is a Christian, so she does not go into hiding, and he is separated from her.
Though the total amount of floor space in the inhabited rooms came to only about 450 square feet (42 m2), Anne Frank wrote in her diary that it was relatively luxurious compared to other hiding places they had heard about.
Mr. Dussel sleeps behind a curtain in the common room.
She longed for peace. One of Anne's dreams was to someday be a famous professional writer or journalist. She hoped to one day achieve one of these goals. Anne thought of publishing a book on her experiences in the Annex when the war was over.
Why does Mr. Frank want to leave Amsterdam? He felt that he wasn't the same man and his house and belongings made him think of his dead family.
How old was Anne Frank when died?
The bad news that Mr. Dussel gives Anne when he first arrives id that Anne's best friend Jopie and her family was gone.
Especially after the Franks move to the Annex, Margot is a constant source of jealousy for Anne, both because of Margot's personality and because of the way their parents treat her. Now Margot will have to bear the brunt of it. Or rather, won't, since Mother doesn't make such sarcastic remarks to her.
Frank says "she puts me to shame" he is referring to being ashamed that he doesn't believe all people are basically good like Anne does. being ashamed of the type of father he was. being ashamed of not being able to protect his family.
“As I've told you many times, I'm split in two. One side contains my exuberant cheerfulness, my flippancy, my joy in life and, above all, my ability to appreciate the lighter side of things.
Did they kill Anne Frank?
Anne Frank would have turned 85 years old Thursday. It was on June 12, 1942, her 13th birthday, that she received the red-and-white checked diary.
How was the diary preserved? After the arrest of the eight people in hiding, helpers Miep Gies and Bep Voskuijl found Anne's writings in the Secret Annex. Miep held on to Anne's diaries and papers and kept them in a drawer of her desk. She hoped that she would one day be able to return them to Anne.
As we can see from her diary entries, Anne lives by writing. She uses it to fill her loneliness both in and out of the Annex. Even before she goes into hiding, Anne feels separated from others around her. She uses her writing both as an escape from people and as a bridge to close the gap.
Otto Frank died of lung cancer on 19 August 1980 in Birsfelden and his ashes were buried in the town's cemetery, where Elfriede would also be buried, in the same tomb, 18 years later. He was survived by his stepdaughter Eva Schloss, his sister Helene Frank and her two children.
Anne Frank received her diary as a gift on her thirteenth birthday in 1942. At first, it was her place to record observations about friends and school and her innermost thoughts. But when she and her family went into hiding the month after the diary began, it became a war document.
On January 11, 2010, Miep Gies, the last survivor of a small group of people who helped hide a Jewish girl, Anne Frank, and her family from the Nazis during World War II, dies at age 100 in the Netherlands. In early July 1942, the Frank family went into hiding in an attic apartment behind Otto Frank's business.
