Who is Una Stubbs brother?
Worzel Gummidge is a walking, talking scarecrow character in British children's fiction, who originally appeared in a series of books by the English novelist Barbara Euphan Todd. It was the first story book published by Puffin Books. The books were adapted for radio and television a number of times.
Scatterbrook Farm
All the Scatterbrook scenes were filmed at Valence End Farm, a working farm just outside Dunstable in Bedfordshire.Worzel was able to swap his head for a different one whenever he wanted, as he had a head for every occasion! His heads were made of various vegetables, such as mangel wurzels, turnips and swedes. Each enabled him to perform a specific task.
Etymology. It has been suggested that the term was based on a blackface doll itself inspired by a low-life character named "Black Sal", which appeared in an 1821 novel entitled Life in London by Pierce Egan, a contemporary of Charles Dickens.

Worzel's catchphrases were: "A cup o' tea an' a slice o' cake", "I'll be bum-swizzled" and "Bozzy MCoo". He was madly in love with Aunt Sally, a vain, cruel-hearted fairground coconut-shy doll who considered herself a lady and far too good for a common scarecrow such as Worzel.
He lives with them in the town of St.Petersburg, Missouri. Also, he has another aunt, Sally Phelps, who lives considerably farther down the Mississippi River, in the town of Pikesville.
