Lord Shri Krishna came in front of them in the last time. Krishna told Radha that he demanded something from her, but Radha refused. Radha abandoned her body while listening to the tunes of the flute. Lord Krishna could not bear Radha's death and broke his flute as a symbolic ending of love and threw it into the bush.
Their number is mentioned as 16,000 or 16,100 in different scriptures. Krishna accepted them as his wives upon their insistence to save themselves from the society who saw them as slaves of the demon king Narakasura. The chief amongst them is sometimes called Rohini.
Laxmi's incarnation as Rukmini was supposed to be a silent supporter – very important but less conspicuous. And this was by their own design, their own strategy, and their master plan. There's no bias between Radha and Rukmini as why one is only worshipped with Krishna.
Let's check out what. The story of Rukmini and Krishna is one of secret passion. She was his favourite wife. Rukmini pleaded with Krishna to elope with her and marry her.

Death and ascensionAccording to the Mahabharata, a fight breaks out at a festival among the Yadavas, who end up killing each other. Mistaking the sleeping Krishna for a deer, a hunter named Jara shoots an arrow that fatally injures him. Krishna forgives Jara and dies.

In Bhagavad-Gita Lord Krishna said that everything happens for a cause or good reason. Whatever happens in life happen for good and there is always a cause or reason behind that. He also mentioned that we all are children of God, the one creator. God is supreme power and this world is governed by him.
Lord Krishna said, "In Kaliyuga, the pious men and saints will be like the cuckoo. They will all have sweet words but they will exploit and inflict pain on their followers like the cuckoo was doing to the poor rabbit."

Lord Krishna Prepared Goddess Radha For The Next Birth. It is said that worried over these curses, Lord Krishna had already intimated Radha that she would be born as the daughter of a Vrishbhanu and Kirti.
Initially, Radha denied, but when Krishna forced she asked him to play the best flute for her. Listening to the divine melody she merged in Krishna. He then decided to break it. Since Radha was fond of his flute so he decided to completely dedicate it to her and never play it again.
Radha also bore a son named Shon. The young Kunti used a mantra to beget a son from the Sun god Surya. Afraid of the taint of being an unwed mother, she placed the baby in a basket and set him afloat a river. The child later known as Karna was found and adopted by Radha and Adiratha, who raised Karna as their own.
Radha, daughter of Vrishabhanu, was Krishna's lover during that period of his life when he lived among the cowherds of Vrindavan. Since childhood they were close to each other - they played, they danced, they fought, they grew up together and wanted to be together forever, but the world pulled them apart.
It is also said that there is no mention of Radha in the Vedasbut it is said that Radha and Rukmini both were the the incarnations of goddess Lakshmi and were the favourite of Krishna. Some even claim that he believed that they both are the same and that is the reason why Krishna married Rukmini.
Did Krishna love Rukmini? Yes. Rukmini had no doubts he did. By this time Narada was beginning to enjoy himself.
Now people say that Rukmini was jealous of Radha. No. She was inquisitive about her greatness. She just wanted to know why she was special to Krishna.
Another eighteen years Sri Krishna got education from Sandipani muni and defeated Jarasandha seventeen times in battle when he invaded Mathura which is mentioned in Srimad Bhagavata Mahapurana, Harivamsha and Vishnu Purana . Sri Krishna was 28–30 years when he married Rukmini.
